    Waratahs 2014

He looks like more of a 6 or 8 than a winger? I wonder if he is any good at the breakdown.

    For Sale: One Test 10

I've always wanted to see O'Connor play 12. I thought in 2010 when Gits form was abismal that O'Connor should have been trialed in the 12 jersey. It might not work out, but I think it would be more of a success than playing him at 10 or 15.

    Waratahs 2014

I find it fascinating that Jono Lance signed with the Tahs for next season. He is a guy coming into the prime of his career who was pretty much a nailed on starter at the reds. There is a bit of full back talent coming through the system in QLD but no one that will be ready to play super rugby...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

I think given the player we have, about half the team picks itself - almost regardless of gameplan and opposition: 1. Robinson 2. Moore 3. Slipper 4. Horwill 5. 6. Mowen 7. 8. 9. Genia 10. Cooper 11. 12. 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 14. Folau 15. The rest really depends on injuries, gameplan and who performs...

    Waratahs 2014

I reckon Crawford could overtake Betham in the pecking order. He has better hands and a better kicking game.

    For Sale: One Test 10

Cooper has improved his game far more than most other professional rugby players. He was truly shocking in his first couple of seasons for the reds. Many thought he woudn't be anything more than a club player. JOC (James O'Connor) and Beale were stars from the get-go. Cooper only really hit form in his 4th...

    For Sale: One Test 10

I've heard most of the rumors about O'Connor, including a few that havent been talked about in the media. And a couple from way back when he was at nudgee as well. But it seems pretty clear to me his problems in wallaby camp all relate to little things that detriment the team, like missing the...

    Ewen McKenzie: Wallaby Coach

I think there was some truth to it upto about 12 months ago. The South Africans went off the boil for a good few seasons there and so did we. England and France under Johnston and Liervermont were hardly examples of best practise. The Irish have been calling for their coaches head longer than we...

Competition - Link's top priority with the Wallabies

I think his top priority will be to get the team playing good football. By good football I mean playing to a structure, executing their moves and building pressure on opposition teams in both attack and defence. If you do this the results will look after themselves. And I reckon as the...

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

Links made a load of selection mistakes at the Reds. But if something doesn't come off (like Horwill at 6, Harris at 13 etc.) he learns from his mistake and changes it.

    Ewen McKenzie: Wallaby Coach

A few months ago someone made the point on one of the countless Wallaby coach threads we've had that they still saw the Wallaby Coaching role as a representative position. Just like you pick your best XV of Australian players to wear the green and gold, so to do you pick the best Australian to...

    Cheerio Deans

If White gets the job the difference between success and failure will be the quality of the attack and defence coaches he picks. I know it wouldn't be good for the super rugby, but if Link doesn't get the job I'd like to see him as Wallabies attack coach under White.

    Waratahs 2014

I'd love to see the Waratahs salary cap breakdown for next season.

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

I think McCalman is a poor selection given both Kimlin and MMM are available. There is nothing he can do they can't, apart from play openside flanker badly.

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

Has McCalman been confirmed as part of the 23?

    James Horwill cited for stamping

I think the spirit of the game starts to come in here. I absolutely agree refusing to play because you don't like the decision is petulant. But at the same time the way the IRB has acted is unheard of. I'm pretty sure the Saffas would back us up. They're at the forefront of ref development...

    James Horwill cited for stamping

I think if the ARU made the threat the ban would be suspended. And I expect if the ARU took on the IRB, the Kiwis and Saffas might very well back us up. A huge gamble no doubt, but you can't let the status quo stand or else there will forever be a question mark over the validity of future...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

If we had our act together as a rugby nation this series would have been done and dusted by now. JOC (James O'Connor) is not a 10. We knew that going into this series and now it's on show for the world to see. But none the less great to see the green and gold get a win.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

To be fair we normally play a 5/2 and it works fine. The circumstances on the weekend were extreme. I like the team Brumbieman has picked, but I don't think you can have Kimlin and MMM on the bench. It's one or the other.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

Mogg is too green to debut in this series IMHO. He's a bloke you'd bring on slow, playing him off the bench in the lesser RC games and then maybe a start on the spring tour.
