Did we really expect anything different? I actually think it'll be the best for his development. Hopefully when the three years are up Rugby will be in a better position to attract him.

5K might be ok for finals and trial games

If we get the Olympics it would need an upgrade for seating and artificial turf. This upgrade wont have that.

He'd be better off playing league for three years and then rugby swooping on him if he's any good. Can't justify the spend, even if it's not their money. Most players have an injury in their first few years and it wouldn't be a great look having an unproved $1M on the sidelines.

Was great to get out on the weekend and watch some rugby in the Brisbane winters sunshine. Lot's of happy kids at the end of the day who got to get on the field and bash their mates.

USA Rugby don't own the comp, they just sanction it. MLR will go ahead at some stage I'm sure but a lot of players are around at the moment and seem to be happy to play Premier rugby.

I guess it's a pretty individual thing. Some guys might come for two years and consider themselves a local, others may have done all their high schooling here and still consider themselves from NSW. Like it's bee said before, being a Queenslander is a state of mind.

It might be a bit of back to the future this weekend with Terrace playing SLC in a 1st & 2nd XV trial. The GPS v AIC trials used to be hotly fought contests before the change of seasons. Rumour going around that the canteen might be operational too, one of the great burgers might be on offer...

Pretty sure they do play everyone, in 1st XV at least. Last round is 1st only.
