    SR2023 - NZ Derbies & v Drua/ Moana

Chiefs look bloody useful on paper if DMac can deliver at 10.

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

The most realistic outcome is reached. Will be quite interesting to see the 2024 - 2027 4 year cycle in Super Rugby with Aus building up for a home World Cup and no Razor at the Crusaders (and likely no MacDonald at the Blues). Can't see too much changing in 2023 though Tahs must be eyeing up...

All Blacks & All Blacks XV Tours 2022

Rieko came off the bench last week and delivered the match sealing try to Telea through wonderful centre play. Not sure why everyone is so keen to see him moved from 13 where he goes from strength to strength Happy with Barrett at 6 as the reality is no one else has claimed the jersey so I...

ALB looked a lot better at 12 than at 13.

Wallabies v Italy, Florence, Sun 13th Nov 12am AEDT

I thought the most disappointing thing for Wallabies was after coming out firing right after halftime and getting back to 17-15 they just didn't kick on. The discipline issues have to fall on Rennie's shoulders. Whatever he is doing at training to address it isn't working. All the players and...

All Blacks & All Blacks XV Tours 2022

The forwards performance and the performance of Jordie at 12 is very encouraging. The performance of the defence - not so much.

Wallabies v France, Paris, Sun 6th Nov 7am AEDT

A lot of encouraging signs for the Wallabies with a lot of their top 23 not available. Wonderful game of rugby. The game management before halftime was horrendous but on the other hand what a try to Foketi.

All Blacks & All Blacks XV Tours 2022

I've liked what Christie has brought off of the bench - but he was poor when starting last week - a very different role - and a bit of a worry. Pleased that Weber is ahead of Perenara.

Really pleased to see Jordie given another crack at 12.

All Blacks & All Blacks XV Tours 2022

I wonder if Brodie can get the 3rd week off / converted due to completion of a coaching course which has happened before this year? That would mean he would be available for the final test of the year vs England.

It was really refreshing to hear him critical of the ABs though. Would like him to be on regularly.

All Blacks & All Blacks XV Tours 2022

Well this didn't age well. Coles didn't make the kickoff, Retallick saw red, Cane looked ancient, Mo'unga was shit and Reece was uneven. Very few players put their hand up after that performance. I was an advocate for Perofeta getting his shot but he didn't take it. Perhaps his best chance is...

All Blacks & All Blacks XV Tours 2022

Other than the midfield the starting team looks like it's got a good mix of experience at every other position grouping: veteran front rower (Coles), lock (Retallick), loosie (Cane), inside back (Mo'unga), outside back (Reece).

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

If I was Canes i'd be looking to play Jordie at 12 and Love at 15 with Higgins rotating in at 12 and Sullivan/Proctor rotating at 13. PUJ could also play 13 with Sullivan on the wing.

Tuipulotu is in for Whitelock (sounds like Whitelock will be sweet for test 2 v Wales). Aumua in as cover for Coles who has a niggle (doesn't he always?).

    NZ Domestic Rugby 2022

Can't agree with Pugh at all. As an Auckland fan it's been frustrating watching Pugh have a mortgage all season on the 8 jersey. He's really poor at the back of a scrum (really poor) and for every good thing he does he makes a lot of errors (his two errors from restarts and running into a man in...

    NZ Domestic Rugby 2022

I really don't understand how Simon Hickey keeps getting starts even at this level. He's small, a slow processer with a weak punt.
