    Bledisloe 2 2023 @ Dunedin 12:35PM Sat 5 Aug

I think you are focused on the wrong flanker - I'd be looking at a different 6.

    Bledisloe 2 2023 @ Dunedin 12:35PM Sat 5 Aug

He also played all 3 games. Will Jordan, Mark Telea, Kolbe, Arendse etc did not as there was rotation with ABs and Boks. Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) too only played 2 of the 3.

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Wallabies cleared to ABs 40 then both teams traded kicks. Wallabies actually had the ball on the ABs 40 after Aaron Smith passed directly into touch but Carter Gordon put in a poor cross kick/bomb which Telea regathered. ABs then put up a contenstable bomb that Will Jordan & Scott Barrett were...

It will be an especiallly fast game under the roof in Dunedin. That may factor into selections.

I actually like the idea of bringing Lonergen and IFL in at 9 for the Wallabies along with tate and ditching Nic White. IFL was excellent in the second 40 for Aus A vs Tonga (and is a consistently strong bench player in Super). Lonergen's kicking could certainly be used as well. What real value...

No way either NZR or RA will give up the revenue of an annual home Bled fixture.

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

The Wallabies were able to put together good periods of possession and territory for quarters for the first 30 minutes and the 20 minutes after halftime but to only come away with 7 points is criminal. The big pack was able to rumble forward though. Carter Gordon had a hell of a lot on his...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

The Tri Nations in 2011 meant fuck all. Boks sent a weakened squad to NZ and ABs sent a weakened squad to RSA. 2011 was really weird by the ABs as they had actually named the RWC squad during the week of the Brisbane test so there was plenty of fallout from that with a home World Cup 2 or 3...

I would probably have Luke Pierce as the world's best ref but all the best English refs at the moment are top drawer - Barnes, Pierce, Dickson and Carley. I'm glad they are all going to the World Cup.

    NZ Domestic comps

Looks like Zarn is gonna play 10 for Auckland. Good to see.

There are a few players that could fill the 23 jersey better than Clarke I think (DMac, Narawa, Leicester etc).

Even as a Blues fan not sure I agree with that. Cane has had an excellent season whereas Dalton has had a down year compared to last year. Two exciting teams named. Hopefully the Rebels influence encourages a few more to head along to the game. Really pumped to go along on Saturday - should be...

Agreed - some of the $109 tickets are a better view than the $250 tickets (let alone value).

    Wallabies 2023

I think the suggestion of Samu or Gleeson at 7 is more a reflection of what Hooper and McReight aren't providing. Hooper looks well off his best and McReight didn't exactly grab the opportunity with both hands last weekend. Both Hooper and McReight have looked a little lightweight in TRC so far...

    Wallabies 2023

13 is a tough position to cover as a utility. When I've seen him there for Rebels i've felt like he's doing a job but it's not ideal - you are comprimising him by not playing him in his best position (the physicality of test midfield probably doesnt play to his strengths) and you are...

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Kellaway is a better wing than fullback in my opinion but given Wright's constant brain fades throughout his career it's probably worth giving Kellaway a go - Eddie is going to have to pick and stick with a fullback soon though given the RWC is so close. Most people thought Bledisloe 1 last...

July Internationals 2023 - matches not involving Australia

Despite the PTSD of Beaudie for the Blues not all cross kicks are bad. Just like Kearns old claim that all chip kicks are bad was rubbish. It was an excellent play as Beauden switched play to the blindside and spotted the overlap and a pinpoint kick for Jordan to score. There's not a huge...

July Internationals 2023 - matches not involving Australia

Well well - that was a vintage ABs performance. It reminded me a bit of 2010 ABs vs Boks at Eden Park after a rough 2009. The pack is really humming and much better play in the backs with a direct 12 and 13 complemented by good kicking mostly. Quite astonishing how well Frizell played -...
