With Liam's horrible track record with injuries, at what point do you make him "Club Captain" with Tate and McReight the Captains?

I get why they want a football only stadium. The state of the Suncorp can be at times pretty bloody woeful. After a concert or the magic round the grass is absolutely rooted. Perry Park would be nice to have a 25k stadium, but, I would dare say most of the problems would be solved if the Roma...

At the same time, Nienaber said a few days ago that the URC isn't great for the Springboks and players are better off in Japan; https://www.planetrugby.com/news/jacques-nienaber-offers-interesting-theory-as-to-why-springboks-players-are-choosing-japan-over-europe

Advertising even for internal roles is pretty common these days. The advert may only be live for a few days or a week, but it helps remove the nepotism argument being raised on any appointment. They can point to the mediums like LinkedIn/Seek/RA website to say we gave anyone and everyone an...

If we do actually land Joe Schmidt, you'd have to say, going through the pain of Eddie may have been worth it as from a top level perspective, well be in a fantastic spot.

I dunno, there is a time and place for Chieka. Many players have praised his ability to bring the squad together. There's probably a role Michael can play in the Wallabies set up, just keep him out of the room when it comes to game plan and styles.

Outside of the Crusaders and maybe the chiefs, you could say the same thing for most of the Kiwi teams. Auckland have been so inconsistent over the decade and bugger all people go and watch them, same with the canes and the highlanders are propped up by uni students wanting to party and there...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

I'm curious DC, because you're rightly so close to this from a fan perspective, are you forgetting the shenanigans the Rebels pulled back in 2017 with the transfer of their licence? It's shit what's going on, but it's not exactly like the Rebels management have clean hands over the last few years.

Geeez Reg, as a father I have prime simply for the "free" next day shipping. Doesn't matter if I'm buying $5 set of crayons or a box of nappies, having prime has been worth it just for that. Add in a few of the shows it's has had and it's worth more to me than Stan!

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

You want rivalry and passion in the game, it's this type of stuff that makes it thrive. I still clutch my pearls whenever I think back 12-13 years ago when Giteau kicked for the posts against the Reds rather than giving us a losing bonus point. I'm sure as hell that WF fans love smashing the...

Woukd you not say 50 odd thousand people who turned up in 2021 to watch two Australian clubs not a measure of success?

I went looking and thought the annual report would be a good starting point. Is there any reason why the 2022 report doesn't cover off any financial status or the typical auditors findings? https://heyzine.com/flip-book/43c2987083.html#page/3 I would have thought members of the largest club...

We played Internationals in Melbourne before the Rebels existed though.

Can you blame RA though? The position the Rebels have put themselves in, exposes RA significantly. If Rebels do go under, there are a considerable number of POI's at the Rebels that will be looking for contracts with many of them having to go overseas in the short term.

As a counter to this, if a player suffers an injury that stops them from being moved from the playing field either assisted or by their own self, should be assessed by an independent doctor to ensure they are not further injuring themselves. Adopt a similar approach to HIA as it's all about...

    Queensland Reds 2024

Looks interesting and sure as hell beats the usual crap we see going around. I'd prefer to see new styles tried, a bit of artistic freedom always makes for interesting jerseys and helps keeps the fans engaged over the off-season. Canterbury just needs to make sure they release cotton...

Kid all we like, but Kev in 2011 was the Captain of the Super Rugby winners, the Winners of the last Tri-Nations competition and took the team to 3rd place in the WC. Bloke also has a MBA from Cambridge. Not a bad overall candidate when you compare that to others like Harrison who hasn't played...

You know what would have stopped Tom writing the article? Not being an absolute dick and taking a job interview right in the middle of a WC campaign. Can't write about something that never happens.
