    Wallabies 2021

Why do we need to start blooding the next generation? At this point I'd think JOC (James O'Connor) and To'omua are likely to be our 10-12 at the next World Cup, so lets get them as many minutes together as possible. I think we will see a lot of continuity from 2020 in selections this year. A lot of Rennie's...

Super Rugby Au Rnd 3 Waratahs vs Force 5th March, Sydney

Again i don't think anyone is going to argue with you. It's a great idea and we should do it. Two things can be true here. We should grow and develop the game in Western Sydney, but also if we started to win more games it would generate interest as well. There are multiple ways to skin a cat...

Who is rejecting that though? Everyone here is in furious agreement the Tahs are a basket case from top to tail, and we've been in furious agreement for years. We just disagree on the solutions.

    Oh OK then. Thanks.

He was on a wage, he got offered a better wage, so he took that. Purely through that lens what he did is defensible IMO.

It's not the same as a regular workplace Hawko, though. Yes we're in the professional era but we are still playing rugby and things like loyalty are important. The Wallaby jersey is something our players are supposed to aspire to, and representing the Wallabies has value beyond the paycheck you...

Yeah the decline in News journalism has been offset by a bit more focus on rugby in the Nine/Fairfax press.

    Wallabies 2021

With everyone fit, we've got a talent surplus in the backline. I am really digging Hunter Paisami's work this season. He was outstanding at 12 against the Brumbies, and just seems to be getting better every week. Bruising defender, good hands, hard straight runner, and the skill to execute...

Super Rugby Au Rnd 3 Waratahs vs Force 5th March, Sydney

What is your evidence for both of these claims? I can't see how the Waratahs have 'turned their backs on Western Sydney' when they are playing more games there than ever before. Add in a couple of recent Wallaby games and you could argue Western Sydney has never been better treated by rugby...

Yeah I'd grab CFS in a heartbeat.

It was just a thought. Would Marika be on top of my list? No. But he'd be on there somewhere. We need a lock, we need a hooker, we need a number 8. But we also need a strike weapon in the backline, which we've lacked since we lost Taqele and Folau.

He's more than just a winger though, I'd argue he's the best player in Australia at the moment. But according to twitter we can't compete with the $$$ he's being offered from overseas so it ain't going to happen.

I know, but clearly we've got the budget to afford world class locks and a franchise guy like Koro.

Super Rugby Au Rnd 4 - Brumbies V Reds Gio Stad Canberra 13Mar

Very few people come away from that game with their reputation diminished. JOC (James O'Connor) was arguably the man of the match, though you could make a case for five others. Rob Valetini continues to perplex me. He was phenomenal with ball in hand, played 80, plenty of tackles. But there are head scratching...

That's entirely fair enough on both counts. It's weird (and sad) that I am more excited for Brumbies vs Reds than I have been for any Tahs game for a long while.

No need for personal attacks here. We're all just fans, with no power at all. This is empty discussion that isn't going to impact on anything in any tangible way. BH doesn't work at the NSWRU, he just has an opinion that differs from yours. I don't work in rugby either, I'd assume nobody here...

I'm unsure of the negotiations, but I'm annoyed we let Karmichael Hunt walk.

You OK Derp? We're just trying to have a reasonable argument here, it's all this place is for.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Caught Rugby Heaven for the first time, thought it was pretty good. I fast forwarded through most of the player interviews, but I liked the analysis by Turinui and Harrison, and I liked the journo roundtable as well. Credit to HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) for that performance too, the bloke has a decent set of pipes...
