    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yes, this will finally silence the doubters like myself who for years haven't been entirely sure the Top League actually exists.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Really? Both Campo and Cheika have track records of actually being interesting, unlike Kearns. And both have really interesting backgrounds and perspective. Coaching, grassroots, playing both here and abroad. I'm keen to see how they go.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Great ads for rugby playing during the tennis in prime time last night.

    Australian Rugby / RA

They can be a part of the plan, but any sort of 'unification' doesn't work. RA can help those schools with coaching resources, talent ID, player visits etc, but that's really about as much as you can do.

    Australian Rugby / RA

But why would the schools organisations (GPS, CAS, etc) want to be aligned with anyone other than themselves? There's nothing in it for them. They don't care about the health of the game as a whole, mainly because they also play soccer, AFL, basketball and a host of other sports at any one time. .

    Waratahs 2021

True. At least it gives us something to talk about.

    Waratahs 2021

I don't see anyone forcing their own ethics on others here. People can be uncomfortable with a gas company sponsoring the Tahs, just like betting or alcohol or anything. They are allowed to say so in this forum, it's just an exchange of opinions really.

    Waratahs 2021

I think there's a line in terms of the money you are willing to accept. If a business is operating within the law, then I'm broadly happy for them to sponsor the Waratahs. However it's the next step that is the kicker. I don't like betting sponsorships. It's not so much having 'Sportsbet' on...

    Australian Rugby / RA

This sounds like a calculated play by RA here. Let's be honest, what are the chances of this actually happening - 10%? 5%? We can talk ourselves up, be the knight in shining armour for the Home Nations, but when it comes to the crunch it's pretty likely we won't be doing anything. It's smart...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

OK fair enough. Your call, I suppose. But I will be happy to pay that much to support the game I love, and get a whole heap of TV and movies as well.

Why would I want to stick it to Stan/Nine?

    Waratahs 2021

Once again Tahs HQ just can't get it right. The game is dying in the bush, they are supposedly representing 'all of NSW', but when it comes time for a trial game, they decide to play it in KENYA. They'd rather get on a plane and fly halfway around the world than play a game in the regions and...

    Reds 2021

What's the story on CFS? Been impressed with him the last few years. Surely he'd walk into a few other Super squads. I'd have him at the Tahs. Just too many injuries, too much depth in the outside backs?

    Waratahs 2021

Jeez we're a bit stuffed if Harrison gets injured. I don't hate the squad as there is some good talent in there, but I think 3rd place would be an excellent result.

    RIP GAGR

I know the shady figures that run this site are looking at ways to keep the forum alive. The issue is ownership and liability. We've had vague legal threats over the years and given the nature of some of the discussion we just don't want someone to end up in hot water for anything that happens...

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

The issue is you said you wanted a 'new broom', but I have two issues with that. 1. We don't need a new broom, and 2. What you are proposing isn't really a new broom, it's just dropping players you have always disliked - Hooper, Simmons, Hanigan. My view is the team we have picked this...

Yes, it's the classic "I think we need a new broom, by which I mean keeping the experienced players I like, while dispensing of the ones I do not like".

I wouldn't hate it if they kept Clarkie. I wouldn't love it either, but he's fine enough. Would prefer Moloney, but there is probably room for two callers.

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

Agree D54, I think we've got the raw ingredients for a really good team here. We just need to let them grow over time. I think Rennie is the right coach, and our tactics have been as good as they could be. Our team looked well drilled on Saturday, the lineout was greatly improved and we had a...

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

Apparently there is still a disciplinary hearing for the three players, and so if cleared they may return.
