    Wallabies 2024

Rotated out isn't nearly dramatic enough. We'll only accept dumped, axed or potentially boned if you'd like a mid 2000s media reference.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

This is certainly a distinct advantage in rugby. Caslick and now Maddison Levi are faces of the sport and very marketable and have international exposure. That's obviously the exception though. I'd assume most of the squad would have little additional income (from rugby) outside of their RA...

    Waratahs 2025

Absolutely. You're still a long way off competing for the title in that range but it's a big improvement on last. Would be hard to mark the new coach down if they indeed finished in that range in their first year.

    Waratahs 2025

I don't think it will take much more than some injury luck for the Tahs to return to 6th - 8th mediocrity. In that regard it should be a pretty easy win for McKellar to have a successful first season.

    Waratahs 2025

I think it's mostly because it has been all but confirmed for a couple of weeks so when it actually became official it wasn't overly interesting.

    Waratahs 2025

They are not really signing new contracts. They're just agreeing to complete their existing contract with the Waratahs.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I would guess World Rugby considers some of the grants distributed to member nations to be a contribution towards Sevens funding.

    Waratahs 2025

Waratahs actually had the 5th most successful lineout win percentage in the comp which is quite astounding given the revolving door at hooker and prop. The scrum was a disaster but I think that's largely down to those front row issues, particularly at prop.

    Wallabies 2024

Schmidt said the preparation time before the first test was short. We don't know how many sessions they did post Georgia (unsure whether it was more than a single recovery session before they broke up for a break). We're reassembling largely the same players to build on the previous prep...

Sevens Lead In and Olympics 2024

Thank you. That makes even more sense as to how much we rested key players in the Ireland pool game. The only way we weren't winning the pool was getting beaten by 31 points.

    Wallabies 2024

Do we just assume that the squad has just continued as it currently was and they are already in camp?

Sevens Lead In and Olympics 2024

I am confused how the quarter final matchups were done. The quarter finalists were: Pool A NZ 9 points, +95 points differential Canada 7 points, -14 China 5, -19 Pool B Australia 9, +65 Great Britain 7, -13 Ireland 5, +24 Pool C France 9, +92 USA 7, +31 Based on that seeding would have been...

Sevens Lead In and Olympics 2024

Talk about keeping the cue in the rack. Caslick didn't get on the field, Smale played the final kick-off and we cycled back and forth through the next group of players. Certainly brought out the firepower in the quarter final!

    Wallabies 2024

I think people are wildly overstating how much other selections would change or how much our game plan would change on the basis of selecting Skelton. In my view it only limit you from selecting a Pooper type combination in the backrow which is clearly not at all on the horizon because we no...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

It all comes down to budget. Super Rugby under 19s is first and foremost our best place to view players to make selections. Beyond that it's difficult to pick other players out. This has been the complaint about age grade rep teams at state and national level forever. It's got absolutely...

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

*cough* Jake Gordon makes two great covering tackles in that sequence.

Given one of the guys who hosts a GAGR podcast works at RA in media I think chances are incredibly high!

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

On a side note, I have fond memories when the Tahs used to have the MOTM at the ground voted via their app and you could vote as many times as you wanted. Let's just say there was a couple of times Rob Simmons came from absolutely nowhere to win MOTM.

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

I'm still a bit confused. My take from the latest Schmidt comments is that potentially it's about finding ways to impact the game more when the game isn't flowing in the direction that suits him. He's great at being a starring player in a team that's going well but can he more consistently...
