    NSW AAGPS 2025

I'd just like to comment on how close the 2024 GPS season was. The team that came last even beat the team that won the competition. I prefer this style of GPS rugby rather than just have a juggernaut dominate the competition, and the whole season be 'who can disrupt the premiership surge of...

just had a lot to say while the forum was locked and now that it was open, this is practically 2 weeks worth of posts.

I've talked to a member of Barker staff about this. Barker too recognises the potential for a GPS Winner vs CAS winner match, but in that staff members words 'I don't think either team who won their competition wants to finish a successful season knowing they weren't the best team out of all the...

Only time will tell if he can overtake the Wallaby legend Phil Waugh, who's currently in his position on the list. Phil has the advantage by being in the GPS 1sts for 3 years and Australian Schoolboys for 2, however considering this list is based primarily off post-school success, we will wait...

which ones? This list is more-so based on post school rugby, however rugby ability as a schoolboy is definitely accounted for (for most players that is - as some in this list were schoolboys long before my time, and so I would have no idea of their rugby ability at school).

I would like to see an all time team list for each AAGPS school (I'll do Shore), as well as others have a go at an all time GPS 1st XV Coach - Bob Dwyer (Sydney Boys High School 1958) 1. Bill Young (Joeys 1992) / Benn Robinson (Kings 2002) / Angus Bell (Newington 2018) 2. Phil Kearns...

Can someone please send what the final ladder looked like?

Andrew Mansfield is deputy, and he is the main ringleader of stopping the boys (at least that’s what the boys I’ve spoken to have said). Just find it absolutely outrageous that he and other teacher will stop the boys from completing chant and shouting out the kickoff. But on top off all of that...

Wow, my 3month banning happened to end on the final day of gps rugby. All I can say is, what a game. Shore have made history. Who would’ve thought last term going into the school holidays that shore even had a chance at the premiership, I believe they were coming last or second last. What a...

Well according to @Game_Day_Ritual 's team lists it doesn't look like he's playing 1st this weekend. Hopefully he gets a run on the field.

    CAS Rugby 2024

Wow. Just had a look at this game and reinforces my belief that 2018 and 2019 'Aloys' were very strong Aloys sides with multiple players in the CAS 1sts. Just a shame that the CAS was very good those two years with Barker the most strong they've ever been.

The GPS 1sts team will probably be the best all round. However, I believe that if you put the best players from ISA in a backline against the best backline possible from GPS regardless of league contracts or injuries, ISA this year would probably have the better backline.

My apologies. I thought that it was Knox that won the game in the in the final plays, but it was actually St Augustine's.

    NSW AAGPS 2024

Well.... The GPS has probably get the best forward pack out of any school representative team. Furthermore, the backline will be slightly better from the GPS than the CAS (would be far better if Jacques and Ontini Large weren't injured - I think Large can't play representative Union due to...

I was in attendance last year as well and couldn't help but notice the Kings 'cheer captain' making it well known to the CAS school's students of what the score was during the game (GPS was winning convincingly throughout the whole game).

@Joker @Jockey181 may I remind you of the 1st March 2024 preseason forum close down. Its been over 3 months I believe since the last lockdown.

No that is not correct. The 27th is at Pitwatter park involving ISA, CAS, CCC and CHS only - NO GPS at Pitwatter park on the 27th. The GPS games are only on the 28th - at Knox, where they play ISA and CAS in the same day.

I would agree. He's a big unit (especially for a year 10 student), who is lower to the ground than Ollie Mackeler (as he's shorter) and helps him to tackle better. However, he got injured in his first game back from his wrist injury against Newington.
