    Wallabies 2024

You are likely right BH but all of Paisami, Stewart and Foketi have been tried and really found wanting over the past couple of years. In that time Sapsford has been a consistent performer in the best performing team in Aus Suiper Rugby. I'm just asking for him to be given a go. He is the only...

    Wallabies 2024

There are a lot of good posts above analysing the issues the Wallabies have at No 12. It's hard trying to remember the last No 12 we had who would generally be regarded as real test standard (and please don't mention Matt Giteau). For our present coach/selectors who make a deal about developing...

    Brumbies 2025

Is there really nowhere to watch the Brumbies XV game (other than at the ground)?

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Hey, thank the Lawd for the Brumbies hey NSW. 7/8 forwards who wouldn't otherwise be getting a game in this competition.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Did he play lock/6 for the 2019 U20s? Good player if so.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Will the Aus A games be played on the same day as the tests? I would have thought they would be mid-week games. If they are mid-week then it would seem to me to be possible for those main squad members not being used in the test matches to play for the Aus A Team and still be available for the...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

It is probably likely that some of the main squad members will turn out for Aus A when they're not needed for test duty. Someone like Nonggorr at THP, Lynagh at 10, one of Toole or Jorgensen on the wing or maybe Jorgensen at 15? That would appear to be consistent with your picks of Canham and...

    Wallabies 2024

Pat was too small for the smash type role he was asked to perform in the Wallabies' 12 spot. His best form was always at fullback, but with three broken necks (three was it?) I wouldn't want him in any side regardless of his form.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Which Hooper Raytah? If Tom, won't he be in the main touring squad? Similar with Uru and possibly Feliuai? Maybe a bit soon for Lachlan Hooper to be considered, but he'll likely make it there one day. No place for Rhys van Nek at THP? I would definitely prefer Ben O'Donnell to Grealy on the wing.

    Wallabies 2024

What I've been saying all year. AK (Andrew Kellaway) has been a defensive liability for the Wallabies this year.

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

BDA, the Brumbies have had a net loss in numbers of players and in quality in the current 2025 roster. Six players departed and only two from outside currently recruited - the quality of Swain, Tua and Brown has not been replaced. Even so, I expect they will probably still top the Aussie side...

    Refereeing decisions

Diving in the air Strewth. It is possible and even preferable to dive along the ground when going for the tryline from inside the field of play.

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

I particularly liked Dillon's vision and ability to take advantage of opportunities. Had a hand in most, maybe all, of the tries scored by the backs and his ability to see players in space and get the ball to them via long passes on target was impressive. I'd hope he stays at 10. Looks a nuggety...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Brumbies U19s forwards were strong. Two rolling maul tries and scrum dominance. Force owned the lineout. But in open play the Brumbies were just too big and too strong up front. The backs were pretty sharp on both sides in attack, but the Brumbies had the players and skills, speed etc to put...

    Refereeing decisions

Would have been simple to just say diving/jumping in the air to avoid a tackle is always unsafe and a penalty, and likewise any tackling in the air is unsafe and a penalty. Avoid the ambiguity and take it out of the realm of referee judgement.

    Wallabies 2024

I would say that Rhys van Nek will be in with a shot of making the A side. The backrow looks full but Luke Reimer has been in the squad this year. He will also be a possibility for the A side. The real left field selection I'd like to see is Declan Meredith to cover 10/15. He has yet to get...

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Paisami did much the same in the first test too IIRC.

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

For the Brumbies, I thought Joe Dillon (N0 10) and Beau Morrison (No 8) were outstanding. The US Lock Ollie Aylmer, winger Silas Pilot, replacement Hooker Bailey Buesnel and No 13 Malakye Enasio were all very good. Coincidentally, after all the discussion on another thread recently about Al...

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Agree on Pietsch. Also thought Valetini probably should have stayed on. So many times the replacements seem to be pre-ordained and have no bearing on the way the game is playing out.
