Super Rugby: Rd 4, 2024. NSW Waratahs v The Auckland Blues

So the Tahs will be trying to play their "power game" against a side that is the epitome of the power game

Is it really? A crash ball 12 plays a lot like a a NRL edge backrower

    Waratahs 2024

Well it does go to character, especially when you add in the more accurate descriptor "pregnant wife" "illegal" no, immoral - yep (I hate cheaters, total disrespect for the partner) But I still want to live in a world where we show a level of belief in redemption

    Waratahs 2024

Yeah, but I still like to believe in redemption, I hope he turns his life around, becomes a better human and becomes a great role model

    Round 3: Waratahs v Highlanders - Friday 8 March 2024

Different game, much more pressure from a well organised set of pigs creates errors

    Round 3: Waratahs v Highlanders - Friday 8 March 2024

So ......................... for long periods of this game the Tahs were getting though contact and yet at no time did we look like leveraging that advantage The clan played rope a dope, absorb the pressure, wait for the turnover and pounce. Spread the ball wide through effective catch pass...

Super Rugby: Rd 2. NSW Waratahs v Crusaders, Sat Mar 2

It is nice to see the team now have multiple kicking options - all with length, much harder for chasers to focus and pressure that lone kicker

Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

I was really impressed with Vunivalu's efforts in this match, he was even doing double defensive efforts late is this game, massive improvement in workrate

He has been quite good for a number of years, he initially had issues in contact, but those days are well and truly gone. Penny said that when coaching the Tahs he had to cut the budget by $1 mil, I think that is why he ended up in the Japanese second division He will never be the greatest...

I did like to see a proper backs move for Wilson's try runners inside and outside channels running effective lines created defensive hesitation Also, it is great to see a real 12 who can pass & kick, Walton has had a shit run with injuries and now we get to see what he can do

It will be nice to watch Hanagin and Lee-Warner sharing 80 minutes, both work hard and provide that 3rd lineout option
