And the old Jaco Pepper is back. Looking at only one side of the rucks.....

How many times can James Slipper ‘lose his feet’ and collapse the mail before it’s viewed as an issue

Agree. I’d love to something like it with the fam.

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

I know that we still have tomorrow's round to go, but it seems like that the finals will be Waratahs vs Reds in both. Hopefully all teams come through unscathed. These are my predicted NSW lineups: 16s: Christodoulou, Muriti, Hill; Poitaha, Brial; Cleverley, LeMaitre, Aboud; Blank, Conti...

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

Yep, a very silly mistake that unfortunately may cost them a shot at the Cup.

    Sydney Subbies 2022

Highly doubtful you'll see Epping there. If the requirement is Colts AND four grades, then it seems tough. We've had a meeting with Subbies - they've brought up a number of things that we need to 'fix'.

This was last week. I’ve been advised Muriti is not going to Barker. Good authority

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

It’s the primary school representative sports program. Unfortunately NSW PSSA is the only current primary school sports association that include rugby union. It used to compete against Victorian, South Australian and ACT club based side, however these associations did not continue after about...

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

Alot of the boys represented NSW previously in the NSW PSSA team. They are a very talented bunch of kids, particularly when you consider the talent in the next squad. Boys in this Under 16's team to represent NSW PSSA in 2017/2018: Max Meagher, Connor Dempsey, Luca Cleverley, Alex Conti, Joe...

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Would like to understand the purpose of these games. Is it to win first and then a selection trial second? Lonergan being captain and goal kicker worries me. I think the last shot at goal should have been a kick for touch and line out.

    Sydney Subbies 2022

Thanks for the challenge there, @Eastcoast. The top three teams were definitely dominant in the competition, so they will make up the majority of the Division 4 team. Given my club allegiances and some bias, I am going to limit myself to five players from any team. With that, here is my Division...

    NSW AAGPS 2023

I'm keen to see the Kings line up for 2023. Really excited to get out and watch them. Have known alot of the boys since their primary school days, so happy to see them fulfilling their rugby dreams!

I agree, but if a back joins the maul, he has to bind to the hindmost player and the ball transferred back. How does the hooker still score the try?

I can back you on these. Another peeve of mine 4. The maul from the lineout: Players who are joining the maul before the jumper is brought to the ground. Surely this is a safety issue, but also illegal, given that a maul is defined as: A maul occurs when a player with the ball goes into contact...

Anyone interested in putting together a team of the season for each division?

Funny I thought we were talking in hypotheticals, like the idea of the Wallabies looking forward to 2027 instead of the next test match.

Yeah, I agree that we need to look to the future and the 2027 RWC from here. If Dave Rennie isn't the man to take us that far, make sure one of his assistants is the one who will. I like the idea of Dan McKellar, but is Stephen Larkham out of the frame? I'd be looking at who is a performer and...

    Sydney Subbies 2022

Did you know that out of the 24 clubs that fielded more than 2 grades this year (across Divisions 1, 2 & 4), only 6 of them were able to fulfill their divisional requirement as well as fulfill their game obligations (i.e. not forfeiting a game). Only 3 were in Division 1...... Where is the...
