Taukei'aho is still around at hooker next year, right? I'm a bit of a Tom Robertson fan - I hope he has a big season. I still hold a slim hope that Akira becomes more of the tough, hard-man type 6 that Test rugby requires.

    Wallabies 2024

Before his injury, I thought AAA was playing some really good rugby - perhaps career best form at Test level. That injury really hurt the Wallabies this year.

Toutai Kefu is free. Surely he should be involved in coaching in Australia somewhere.

Is it only red cards that go to a judiciary?

And yet they reportedly made a pitch to keep Foster to the board last year when they were considering firing him. When you say ‘knows a lot about New Zealand rugby’ are you implying he is well connected or just that he watches a lot of Super Rugby and NPC?

I’ve seen big kids who are still mentally just kids and having them play up just because of their size can be almost cruel.

I don’t mind weight for age group so long as the kids are all the same age. Having a young kid have to play against older kids just cos he is big is not cool.

The article confirms what I thought and what some of us were shouted down for saying. EJ (Eddie Jones) didn’t really have a plan to win this RWC. Once a few senior players had seen thru his bullshit, he dumped them along with any actual strategy for winning, and used the tournament as a way to ‘blood’ new...

You really shouldn’t need to. I’ve seen big kids play against my son and my son himself has always been a solid unit but I have always told him, everyone will catch up. The big, strong, fast kid at 13 is often just average by the time you get to 18. Work on the fundamentals and basics. Work on...

RWC Final - New Zealand v South Africa 29/10/23, 0800 NZDT

I can handle human error calls. In real time I agree that it was marginal but not really on the replay. I struggle with the TMO jumping in and over-riding some calls and not others.

    1. I'll give you Frizell YC. 2. Ardie's call wasn't marginal, particularly when you see the replay. It's a great play by Savea and the penalty should have gone the other way. 3. I don't know how to load a video on this site. I'm always told that the "The specified URL cannot be embedded as...

They are not even close. Frizell’s body fell on wehis leg while cleaning out a breakdown while Swain deliberately attacked the leg.

When Barnes calls 'no knock-on' twice but gets over-ruled by the TMO even though it was outside the 2 phases to call back a try - who is in control?

RWC Final - New Zealand v South Africa 29/10/23, 0800 NZDT

The first YC is highly debatable, Ardie's non-penalty was clearly the wrong call, the missed forearm to the face by Etzebeth to Cane, the non-call of the head contact to de Groot, Kolisi's non-red card, the 5-phase call back of the try. And I'm still not blaming the ref for the loss. The ABs...

Perhaps if he had been the actual ref for the final then I could share a bit more of this sentiment.

RWC Final - New Zealand v South Africa 29/10/23, 0800 NZDT

And yet this happened. When Faf de Klerk knocked on at the base of one of the SA scrums, the TMO didn't step in to correct Barnes. The other ridiculous thing about that 'knock-on' call is that the ball was knocked on due to illegal play at the line-out hence the final call, I believe, was a...

As per @barbarian post….what is the ‘Brumby style’? If it’s loosely described as forward-dominant game with everything played off your 9, isn’t that basically the SA or ENG style? If that is the way the Wallabies want to play, they will need to get a hell of a lot better at it with better...
