    That's a huge blow.

Yeah I reckon TT is the biggest loss out of those three. Much maligned but hes still a fuck off enormous human you gotta move at scrum time.

    Can't blame the bloke.

I think it was more surprise that some other options like Swain or Smith were overlooked in his favour. But yes, Joe's judgment has been impeccable thus far.

Valetini plays the same every match regardless of his number. Or, at least, to my ignorant eye he does.

There is a SMH article about how Scotland are looking to nullify JAS but they should be trying to nullify Ikitau.

    Seems a bit hyperbolic.

It is a squad game these days. Maybe he's just thinking playing Tizzano now and McReight for Ireland gives us the best chance across the two games based on the data he has.

on the other hand our recent performances against them haven't been great.

Tizzano and McReight are pretty like for like except that Tizzano lacks McReight's link and support play. Surely its just a rest.

Ah I was thinking of the one where Kerevi himself copped a headbutt. My bad. But yeah, true. I guess it is pretty obvious that a flying bicep would cause less CTE than a shoulder.

But why? Flying into a ruck recklessly and hitting a head seems pretty much on par with flying into a tackle recklessly and hitting a head. Certainly the same from the heads perspective.

Reign it in cowboy. We have played two teams who are currently pretty bad.

In a position to make a shoulder on shoulder tackle? I get I am being a bit obtuse but yours is not a very nuanced position and it can be used to justify any change to the laws because concussive and sub-concussive impact is inherent in rugby and will always cause some degree of head trauma...

I think it has to be 'extra' dippage. A little dip is to be expected. Can't just be the tip has to be the full shaft, so to speak.

Nah head on head contact in a clean-out is acceptable. CTE is only caused by tackle based head bumpage.

Ah well, I hope that isn't the end of his test career. Bit a shit way to end it.

Misery and suffering fund just about every other aspect of Australian culture. Might as well jump on board.

I hate this expression. It's so reductive and broad as to be virtually meaningless. Doesn't tell us anything.
