I think thats a great idea. The brumbies could probably use it as well.

I think the ARU should be limiting the extent to which this stuff goes on. Rugby's support base is built on a strong ammateur tradition. Professionalism is the way forward, but the ammateur representative tradition should be upheld where feasible. It's what builds a strong support culture...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

From what I've heard in league circles, he might dob in other players in order to reduce the length of his ban. Some even suggest he could get it down to a one year ban. But if he does go down this route I doubt he will have many friends in rugby league long term and as such overseas rugby...

    QLD U16s 2013

A valid point. But the real problem is with the QRU not providing schools outside the GPS system with a high quality competition. Until players are able to get similar opportunities to develop at Non-gps schools as they do at GPS schools the problem will continue. I made a thread about it...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

He has a contract with a french second devision club. He'd probably good enough to play top 14 after a season of rugby.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

So is Sandor Earl still heading to France or is he now banned from all professional sports?

    Looks like the steroids worked.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

A well written piece. I sure hope someone forwards it to the Headmasters of the QLD GPS schools; who have all now to some degree sold out in search of vainglory.

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

The opposition doesn't hound Genia as much when Cooper is playing because they have to commit more players to stopping Cooper. To'omua does a host of other things better, but at this stage his simply isn't the same threat.

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

I reckon Quade should start purely to take the defensive pressure off Genia. Folau at 15 as well.

You could buy a ticket at the gate and still sit where ever you want.

Since Ella NSW has been notoriously shit at producing quality flyhalves.

    Rebels 2014

I reckons it's a pretty understandable position to take. Injuries happen all the time in super rugby and you need at least 2 top players in each position to challenge for the title. Horowitz staying at the tahs still makes sense even with foley there; because beale will probably play fullback...

    Rebels 2014

Fainga'a and Smith both play pretty tight.

    Rebels 2014

10 and 12 is no different to lock in that you need depth though. Rebels have 4 good locks, but without 2 decent quality 10's and 2 decent quality 12's they are set for mediocrity IMO. I think cordingly has done a good job recruiting for the short term, but long term I think the rebels need to...

Any news of the size of the academy next season and whether or not super b is going ahead.

    Rebels 2014

Timani is a good pickup regardless of Neville because you need real depth to win the super rugby. 4.Timani 5. Pyle 6. Jones 7. Fainga'a 8. Higgers With Neville, saffy/fugi and Timani jr on the bench. Add in the new props and the rebels pack looks very decent. Shame about the 10/12 situation.

    Reds 2014

It is good that Arnold and Murday are getting experience playing in the ITM and Curry Cups, considering our rapidly diminishing depth in the second row. How did McDulling go on the weekend, Is he sticking around next year?

Where did we go wrong? Wallaby Recovery thread.

I can understand why Slipper was moved to LH in the first place, but I don't really agree with the selection. Especially when we (at face value) had 2 pretty decent options at LH in Robbo and Sio.

    Western Force 2014

Manu, Walton, Cummins and JOC (James O'Connor) would round out the 30 man squad nicely.
