    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

Toulons backline next season will be awesome: 9. Tillous-Borde (Claassens) 10. Wilkinson (Michalak) 11. Habana (Palisson) 12. Giteau (Mermoz) 13. Bastareaud (?) 14. O'Connor (Mitchell) (Smith) 15. Halfpenny (Armitage) Which is on paper as good as what I consider to be the best Super Rugby...

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

So O'Connor to play in europe until early 2015 then return to Australia for the 2015 super rugby and try and crack the world cup squad?

    Andrew Fifita

Everyone knows the tahs are the undeserving golden child of Australian Rugby. Still at uni doing a masters in fine arts whilst the his two brothers Queensland and ACT are off winning championships in the real world.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Will the Wallabies have a squad of backup players training separately in england during the world cup in case of injury? Is that even allowed?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I reckon the tight 5 listed is still way too fragile. I'd be willing to bet money that no team with Kepu and Simmons in the tight 5 is going to win a world cup.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think that at some point this season or next, Link needs to train up a likely world cup squad member as an emergency third halfback. I'm thinking someone like Foley, Hooper, Gill, JOC (James O'Connor) or To'omua. I'm not talking full on change of position, but rather just a few specialised training sessions...

    Reds 2014

On paper the Tahs should walk it next season. The Brumbies and Reds have to prove they can win games without their master coaches. A few early losses and the wheels will fall off for both teams.
  8. Bowside

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

Regardless of off field stuff and how he played for the rebels - O'Connor usually put in pretty damn good performances in a gold jumper. His defence on the wing still needed work but apart from that I wouldn't call him overrated. His career really hasn't panned out as I thought it would...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Yeah exactly. It adds another element to the bid without catering for any more rugby stakeholders per se.

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

What I'm most interested in is Warren Livingstone and Balmain. Where do they stand with the new comp. After all USyd and Balmain are reasonably close to each other.

The randwick bid is a JV with UNSW isn't it?

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

So from what we know: NSW will have 3 possibly 4 teams out of: Sydney Uni Randwick-UNSW Gordon-Norths-Manly-Warringah unholy union. Western Sydney Newcastle QLD will have between 1 and 3 teams out of: North Brisbane joint venture South Brisbane Joint Venture UQ Sunnybank Bond-GC Plus a team...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

This is what I want to see, except with a west sydney team. But it would take a lot of work before a ball is even kicked to get it working.

    Reds 2014

Perhaps a statue of Quade would be more appropriate. I'm only half joking.

    Bit precious mate.

Varsity Cup to Trial Two Ref System

The saffers really are ahead of the curve when it comes to improving the way the game is played. It seems every time there is a rule to be trialed they step up, and whenever there is a new rule their Referee association makes an information video on youtube etc. They really make an effort with...

    Spring Tour Improvements

You point is valid and I agree, but I also think it would be wrong to write Skelton off purely as a timani style bopper. He's a much better ball runner and could very well develop into an effective lineout jumper in time. Furthermore he can also be used as a lifter for guys like Fardy, Mowen...

    Spring Tour Improvements

I think if Skelton keeps performing Australia needs him in the team sooner rather than later. Sure the wallabies won a few games on tour, but there are still very real problems with the tight 5. Simmons and Horwill played better but both are still not close to the level of guys like Etzebeth...

    Reds 2014

Remember Digby use to be a 13 in his earlier days before shifting to the wing. Maybe Sautia will be the same.

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

I don't know if they plan on charging for tickets but that's pretty much not possible at club ground. I can see a south brisbane team working for a couple of years but if this comp ever picks up they will be without a ground anywhere close to being in South Brisbane. Like I said before 10...
