RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

A real chance at redemption for Farrell after the last world cup. He must be licking his lips...hopefully he gets carded again and i can finally update my profile pic

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Not sure what to think of the Petaia selection. Our 10/12/13 has some real potential to impress on attack, but i really worry it's not going to hold up defensively. It's probably a good indication that the team intends to keep the ball in hand as much as possible. It's probably the right call if...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Can everybody please start praying to whatever higher power you believe in that the rain pulls up for this game. The current weather forecast shows that the worst of the rain will be pulling up on Saturday with only possible showers on Saturday night. I don't think we can in this if it's...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

I honestly can't work out why people are talking up Dempsey. The stats show that against Georgia he got through much less work than our other backrowers and made less than half as many run metres as Isi. He certainly hasn't shown enough to force himself into the starting side.

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

I think we'll see the same pack that started against Wales. Given the lineout's functioning well, given that we have quite a few ball running options in the tight five, and most importantly given that Cheika seems intent on playing an expansive running game for 80 minutes I think our best bet is...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

If we have to play England in the Quarters, I like To'omua at 10. That's likely to be a very physical game and England's main weapon in attack is Tuilagi running at the 10 / 12 channel.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

That's a crock of shit. You're telling me Cheika went and told reporters that he actually wanted to play Lilo but was forced to play Foley because he was injured?! Unless you can find me a quote, I don't believe a coach would say that...although post-match i'm sure he'd love to spin that as the...

How do you know that Derpus? Are you on the selector's panel? ..Cheika is that you?

Haven't read through others' comments yet, but I've had a bit of time to digest the game and have a few thoughts:- 1. I'm pretty gutted with the result but not the effort. I think the boys can hold their heads high after that second half performance. Unfortunately you get the feeling that they...

RWC Week 2 - thread for matches without a match thread*

I still remember watching the japan v boks game live last world cup. if im comparing, that was probably a bigger moment but this was still a similar feel-good moment..heading into this world cup japan was the team I really wanted to do well and it was so satisfying to see them succeed...and they...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

I'm not overly confident. I think if we turn up and play well for 80 minutes we'll win. The problem is that we have so rarely turned up and played well over the last few years. It's constant rocks and diamonds...even from first half to second half. Wales on the other hand are consistent. You...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

I don't think we should be playing him out of position. I'd be ok with putting him on the bench though

Is Kurindrani quick enough to play on the wing these days?

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

Just watched the wales goergia game. Hard to take much away from it. Aside from some solid set piece work georgia didnt have much to threaten wales. Tbh its not a great warm up game for wales; they would have been better off playing a team that can at least challenge them a little in attack. I...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) gonna have to watch his body height with ball in hand. The Welsh have in the past (including at the 2015 RWC) adopted the tactic of holding up the ball runner to start a maul and create a turnover. He's a ripe target.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

I actually seem to have more trust in To'omua at 10 than a lot of people on this site. But I gotta agree with KOB and BH, we won't be seeing him start at 10 this world cup. Actually To'omua coming off the bench is one of the few things that's works consistently well for us this season imo. He...

I'd say we'll see petaia against Uruguay and Georgia and then possibly in the quarters if he really shines in those games.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

i have a feeling that Goal kicking could be our undoing, as it was against Wales the last time we played. Lilo is looking like a 50/50 kicker right now. Call me crazy but with Hodge out, do you give the tee to O'Connor perhaps? I agree with others that LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) should start at 6, with Pocock on...

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

A story about nothing. If the media reporting this week is anything to go by, we're in for a long world cup. Clearly there's a lot of pressure being put on the match officials from media on all sides of the globe. Why do i get the feeling this is all going to result in some major controversial...

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

Yeh I can only assume that this means we will be running the ball against Wales, but trying that against Fiji was a bit dumb. We should have secured a lead and then chanced our arm once the game was won. I do however agree that, unlike in years past, this wallabies can actually play a tight...
