RUPA is a puppet union right?

    Aussie Player Exodus

If that's the case, there's some room for alleviation there. They've done nothing to make the Tahs an attractive place to go to though.

    Aussie Player Exodus

I genuinely don't understand what Rugby Australia have been doing for the past 4 months. Not a salty "they let my team die, their decisions have been awful", but "have they actually done anything resembling a days work?"

    Aussie Player Exodus

That's a big change from 2 weeks ago as well. He never actually got capped for Aus A either to my recollection, which just adds value. EDIT: Hanigan in Jersey 19 for both Tonga and Portugal, Josh is unaligned. Wonder if he has a Scottish Granny...

Big decision made in the last 2 weeks then, he was in 3 minds before the QF.

    Wallabies 2024

My Cope is that it's a 900iq move from Schmidt and he'll get 2 full games against Wales and Tonga for the reds rather than holding tackle bags for a few weeks and a 20-30 minute cameo against Georgia.

    Wallabies 2024

For the first time in about 4 or 5 seasons Uelese deserved a run on weight of performance rather than just potential. If core skills are why he's been left out, I don't see that as being an issue, as long as it's consistent.

    Wallabies 2024

This team is not this team

    Wallabies 2024

It's Wales, so it won't matter. But still a few interesting decisions, particularly at lock, and a little at Hooker.

    Wallabies 2024

There's a few folks "high on the copium" as the zoomers were saying a couple of years ago

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

I wouldn't be worried about it

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Clowns will show themselves as clowns. No one (at least no one thinking reasonably) is saying no Rebels = no Victorians playing Rugby. What people are saying is, that to my understanding: - There is no confirmed outcomes for the Rebels Super W players - There is no confirmed outcomes for the...

    Wallabies 2024

That's like Czechs being salty about being called Eastern European instead of Central. Yes, you've got a reasonable point that should be listened to in a broader sociological context, but the contexts people describe them as Eastern comes from being post-soviet states, not as one of the...

    Wallabies 2024

More Teams in Northern France is good for the game.

    Australian Rugby / RA

If you want to be Wales, be Wales. I'd prefer to they try and be Argentina if you're heading down this path.

    Australian Rugby / RA

SO we're killing both Super Rugby and the Wallabies.

    Australian Rugby / RA

Is the move to performance/incentive based contracting coming with an open selection policy for the Wallabies or are we staying domestic only?
  19. Highlander35

    Australian Rugby / RA

If your position is that Rugby Union doesn't have a place as a professional sport in Australia, that's fine. Nothing stops Australian Rugby utilising aa similar model to Argentina.

    Australian Rugby / RA

There's no reason you can't switch to incentive based contracts, it would probably work out well financially for RA, at least to start with. I don't see a pathway to it improving either the quality of either the Wallabies or Domestic Rugby in Australia, but hey, we get to not call our players...
