And that's the LIV Golf parallel. It has some curiosity factor but has ultimately struggled to hold any sort of broad spectator interest.

I've been thinking more about Hamish. He's such an interesting study in a certain type of corporate Australian. He's so desperate to be loved and appreciated. It reminds me a lot of what Joe Aston used to write about in the Fin Review every day, a certain class of CEO that over time becomes...

Fixed that. Come on mate, Joe is just a puppet. We all know that.

For all the rational analysis, let's step back and look at one fact. We just put FIFTY on one of the home nations at home. Scored eight tries. How bloody good!?!? And I for one want to tip my hat to the bloke that set this all up, the man who has this team HUMMING - Hamish McLennan. He's too...

Not sure about that. At very least he'd be able to get us a good rate on a two bedder in the inner west.

But to me that's why it shouldn't be that hard. There's a fair chunk of decent Aussie locks currently overseas that I think we could have a crack at. Hugh Pyle. Adam Coleman. Tom Staniforth. Matt Philip. Will Skelton. Harry Hockings. That's just off the top of my head. Now they might have had...

Ahh a foreign lock who will solve all our problems! Just the answer I was looking for. But all cynicism aside, I do hope you are right.

I love the Tahs continued reluctance to recruit high quality locks. And when I say 'love' I mean 'hate with the fire of a thousand suns'. Seriously, we had one good Kane Douglas season, one good Jacpot season and then you're going back to post-Brumbies Vicks. For every one decent Tahs lock I...

Nostalgia pays. I'm resurrecting old threads like they resurrect TV franchises from the 90s. Watch the numbers boom.

What a team. Frankly I can't see how the Lions get within 15 of us. They will fare better against the Wallabies.

I have to say I've been very happy to see a Rugby CEO that seems to want to keep a low profile. I reckon Hamish McLennan's given three times as many interviews as Phil Waugh lately. But maybe it's the happy winning vibes but the overall impression I have of RA at the moment is steadiness.

I hope Dan McKeller doesn't stoop to Joe Schmidt's level by just handing Sua'alii a Tahs jersey without him earning it first. This isn't the Wallabies mate, earn your keep in the Shute Shield and if you play your cards right you can get a run in the back half of the season.

Yeah I noticed he defended at 13 a lot. He was there for Kellaway's turnover try late in the game.

JS starting at 12, Ikitau at 13. Wow. Talk about throwing the bloke in the deep end. But why the hell not, we need him to be ready for the Lions and this is a pretty good way to do it.

    Wallabies 2024

That's true, though it's worth pointing out none of those guys play a physical contact sport like rugby. With various changes to player safety rules, player union demands and high performance data professional rugby teams do way less contact training than they might have in the past. Again...

    Wallabies 2024

Is this actually true though? In this professional age it seems there's a real art to knowing how much to exert yourself in training. Some guys need to bust a gut, while others need to save as much petrol as possible for game time. Not to mention managing injury risks. Obviously Wright needed...

I don't think we have actually. I propose another 350 pages, where we blame different people and groups and see what sticks.

    Wallabies 2024

Oh yeah that's certainly true and McReight may well turn into the best long-term option. But some here seem to suggest it's a no-brainer, which on the evidence I've seen is a bit strange.

    Wallabies 2024

This and all the other McReight love is strange. How do you know that he inspires his team mates, and leads by example at training? I doubt you've played with him - you can't even spell his name correctly. That said, if you were in fact a Queensland Red then I suppose some mis-spellings are to...
