How many games are required for a player to be eligble for the finals? I'm just thinking the likes of Quirk, Turner (Easts), Kuridrani, Frisby, Kotze (GPS), Korzyk, JJ Taulagi,McDuling (University), Tapuai (Sunnybank), F-Sautia (Souths), plus all the Australian U20's.

He looks like a good prospect. How does he look when he plays for Sunnybank?

Terrific all season if you ask me. At times he has been carrying the Reds pack.

I don't really get the Naiyavoro hype to be honest. Yes maybe with further development, but aside from the odd flash of brilliance, he isn't exactly international quality.

I agree, I think Simmons doesn't get acknowledged enough. He does the dirty work and is brilliant in the line outs. I think the nature of his play means he doesn't stand out.

I'd have to disagree about Bond. They have played the top 2 (Easts & University) the past two games. Those results essentially went to script. Bond's Reserve Grade team is looking the goods as well sitting in second. I'll be backing them to make the finals. Sunnybank look to be a bit shaky...

I'm suprised to hear so much about Latu and nothing on Hanson for the reserve hooking spot, presumming Polota-Nau is no good. I think Hanson has been one of the few Reds who have had a strong season.

Massive result with Souths thrashing Sunnybank. Is that 3 losses in a row for the Dragons (or 3 from 4)? Easts and the Varsity teams will be pleased by that result. Tigers won a pretty low energy game against Norths. Without being too disrespectful to Norths, it felt like their poor handling...

Hearing from people around Gilly, it's an issue with Graham. Basically if Graham stays, Gill will almost definately be in Melbourne next season. The bloke is a machine, and would be the starting international 7 in any country except NZ & Aus.

He came off the bench at half time in Reserve Grade and dominated last week. Looks very talented from the 40minutes I saw.

He was developing very well in his last season in Australia, with Easts when they won the Premiership. He played mostly at 12 and was very good. Hope he is going well, would of been a good player to have in retrospect, but at the time he was surplus to what we already had.

I haven't commented much this season, but I do still read this forum, and enjoy watching TT slowly go insane talking to himself. But I have felt like there has been a big increase in quality in the Premier Comp this season. What are everyone's thoughts on it? I can only comment on the Easts...
