Are you allowed to move between Shute Shield and Div 2 1st Grade? I thought there needs to be clearance provided between years, let alone one week. Although - If that standard is present, then Briars might be back to the glory days.

Is 1st Grade Div 2 still physically demanding week in and week out? Surely a few players would relish the opportunity to give the body a rest for a week at certain times throughout the season. This could be a blessing in disguise for the 'Big 4' to ensure they get the finals time in peak shape...

Once again - Players up at clubs like Eastwood enjoy wearing the shorts and singlet to the gym, rather than actually playing more than 20 minutes on a weekend. Shute clubs need to be directed to make players available rather than leaving it in the hands of coaches who have their own agendas...

Great call HeavyD. Alot of players seemingly prefer to have the kit and say they play for the Rats or Stags rather than actual play the game. Cost of living doesnt seem as much of a problem for those guys who prefer to pay $500 rego for a Shute club than $200-300 for subbies. Or $150 as I saw...

Predictions - St Pats to have qualified to return to Div 1 mid way through the season. Lindfield to surprise a few in the lower grades, which may do enough to keep them in the top division. Will jag a win or 2 in 1st grade, but can see a few players drop off once the wins dry up.

I saw this as well. Their game against Eastwood started close, but with 60 points put up in 14 minutes, seems like they may have been slightly out of their depth. As most subbies clubs would be against Shute Shield calibre player.

I did see a few players in that Emus team that were familiar names from Subbies. Not sure if they stay without getting paid or go back to the previous clubs who are a bit more successful. I still believe they would do some damage in Div 2 or below.

Ive been pushing for a 10 team Div 1 for the past 6 months. Could someone pass along my vote at the AGM as for these Protests to be upheld?

Who decides if they are allowed back into Div1? Is this a vote by the Subbies Board or another method? If the appeals are upheld - does that make an 10 team Div 1? Penrith lost some games by 100 in John I Dent but also were competitive against teams like Whites and Uni. Might be hard to place...

They have more fights than games in A Grade or lower. Guys only rock up to make an easy $200-500 and punch blokes. People probably got over it
