If State high can't field two teams it's their own fault for not emphasising depth in the rugby program.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

I would bring Sio and Skelton onto the bench. Start Higginbotham, and pull him if his work rate isn't high enough.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

If we pick AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 13 then we have 2 small centres and that worked out horribly for us in the period 2011-13. Furthermore if you replace AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) with another smallish winger like Horne/McCabe then you lose even more punch. I said this on the other thread last week and I'll say it again - Kuridrani...

None of the players leaving (Davies, Owen, Toua etc.) are real losses, except maybe Harris. The core is Genia, Cooper, Horwill, Slipper, Simmons, Gill, Hanson and the Faingaas. Plus the young blokes CFS, Browning. Losing more than 1 or 2 of these players would be very worrying.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Higgers is a very good jumper and could possibly assume the role of main jumper late in the game if Simmons comes off. People are thinking about 2015. You can't have passengers in a WC squad, and so if we are taking Skelton, he needs to be tested and developed into a test lock in the next 18...

I hear the european cyclists have some great recovery methods. Maybe a tactical offseason of 'altitude' training is on the cards.

Fair enough. But McCabe is playing on the wing so his form this year is hardly comparable to when he was playing 12, since he is not being put in the same situations on field as he was at 12.

I think best case for Australian rugby is that Folau signs a sabbatical contract with the ARU through to 2019. So he is locked in to Aus rugby but gets to have two or three seasons in France (2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18). Before returning to Aus in 2017 or 18 for the test season and then...

McCabe couldn't pass at speed in traffic whilst playing 12. He wasn't an inside centre, he was a winger playing inside centre. Likewise I think AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at times has the same problem at 13, to a lesser extent. Kuridrani isn't a great 13 but he is a big runner, an solid defender and he has shown...

We're talking for next year here. Nothing is guaranteed. IF O'Connor has a stellar season next year he will play wing. And they will pick a bigger winger on the other side to compensate (like Speight). I use to think AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was our best 13, but I don't think he offloads well enough at speed...

We need our own potgeiter more IMO.

Speight will knock Cummins out of the team before Kuridrani I reckon. And if O'Connor comes back it will be at the expense of AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

Fardy can cover lock. It's not as much of a problem as people make it out to be. But I'd still not start Skelton. Maybe on the bench. Glad to see Chibba in the squad he's a better player than he's shown in the last couple of seasons. Kuridrani needs to stay at 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has had his chance...

Question for the forum: Would you rather Graham or Smith as coach next season?

    Reds 2015

Yeah I reckon we go after O'Connor, Hunt, PAE first. Let Davies, Lucas and one of Shatz/Quirk go. We badly need a 6/8 that has the impact that Samo had. I think the bloke to go after is Caleb Timu. Played Australian Schoolboys and then Broncos, went on a Mormon mission at the end of last...

How did we rate McCalmans efforts? I thought he did a lot of work but again I question his impact. Especially when compared to that of Kaino and Morgan in the game across the tasman. These are blokes he needs to be better than if the Wallabies are going to go all the way.

Biggest worry with Skelton isn't so much his fitness levels but whether he is quick enough for test rugby. There is a potentially huge advantage in having a lock like Skelton, and the next game would be the perfect place for him to make his debut; But I think Jones should as well, and I don't...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

To'omua has really impressed me as a player. Genia, Charles and Sio on the bench for the next test. I would also think about bringing Skelton into the mix as well, because coming on against a beaten french side with 25 minutes to go would be the perfect debut for him.

Shame we won't get to see Picamoles. The bloke is an absolute monster.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Cooper being injured is also a contributing factor to the reduced crowd. Consumer confidence is pretty bloody low in Queensland right now as well. But at the end of the day 30k for a Wallabies test is poor. This game should be a sell out.
