He was injured for a bit, has had 2 games from the bench and 2 starts, averaging about a half a game. I'd love to see him signed to one of the Australian sides, I thought he had a great 2023 and I've been excited to see how he develops.

Oh and I'd be looking at leaving Slipper at home. I think he still has more to offer but he looks cooked this year and the best way to have him right for the Lions is a proper off season. I'd probably call in Sio to replace him though, so it doesn't really shift the selection that much.

If Porecki is fit (and it seems like a pretty big if at this stage) I doubt he'll start in the top squad. He'll be in dire need of game time and the Australia A games will be a much better place for that. Might push his way up by the end of the tour, but I think they're just as likely to leave...

Do we have dates for the Australia A games? Not sure the tours will be mutually exclusive, they may let a few Reds guys head to Japan and have them join them after the Saitama game.

Big win for the Wallaroos to kick off the WXV2. Great to see them step up after a couple of disappointing weeks and really dominate. Hopefully they can carry this form through the rest of the competition.

Not sure that 3rd string spot in the main squad would be seen as "ahead" for many of them. Better to be playing for Australia A then holding tackle bags. That's where I expect Edmed will get his chance, probably Sua'ali'i's too. Might depend on how much crossover there is between the two though.

As hard done by as Sotutu was, Sititi is nailing his chances. He's been excellent the last two weeks and is really repaying that faith showed in him.
