Any word of how Werchon is going in Italy?yeah better suited to 7s
Playing wing was a disservice for his Super Rugby ambitions. If he wanted to play Super Rugby he needed to stick at halfback.

It's been a few weeks since the article was published in the Courier Mail about the signing. In that time, Carter Gordona was released & signed. Maybe the QRU were investigating whether they had an out of the Volavola contract and have accepted they dont.Ben Volavola confirmed by the Reds for a 1 year contract
3/4 starts for Benetton is probably as good as you can hope for after just turning up to the side. Way better than running Broncos at Ballymore for his Rugby. He's 23 now so needs to show the game performance. There's no waiting for physical development now.Any word of how Werchon is going in Italy?
This has got to be it - I reckon they're looking at both Gordon and Lynagh as big injury risks throughout the season, and wanting a steady (but cheap) hand to be able to call upon if needed. He's the next Jude Gibbs
Probably same for Ben.It's been a few weeks since the article was published in the Courier Mail about the signing. In that time, Carter Gordona was released & signed. Maybe the QRU were investigating whether they had an out of the Volavola contract and have accepted they dont.
Wonder if they can readjust his attitude. Bloke carries on like an absolute tool on the field.yeah better suited to 7s

Cartwright does? I don't recall ever seeing that.Wonder if they can readjust his attitude. Bloke carries on like an absolute tool on the field.

Reds have updated their website with departing players removed and Aidan, Carter and Ben added. Currently at 32 players, with 27 of those as confirmed signatures.
Out of the 5 players who are off contract/ haven’t been confirmed as re-signing(Will McCulloch, Lachlan Anderson, Isaac Henry, Frankie Goldsbrough, Harry McLaughlin-Phillips, Trevor King) are all still listed so assume they’ve all extended.
King definitely extended for at least next year.Reds have updated their website with departing players removed and Aidan, Carter and Ben added. Currently at 32 players, with 27 of those as confirmed signatures.

We need some locks. Happy to rely on Uru at a whim but not consistently.
He's on holiday in New York (with Jock Campbell). He was not selected for Perpignan's last game before the break.BTW, what is the latest on Petaia?

Just the one year deal. The team is an absolute basket case and nine games in they only have a single point on the table. They came 13th last year and narrowly one the relegation play off to stay up top, but this year they'd have to be run away favourites to be sent down at the end of the season. That makes any contract renewal for a player as expensive as Petaia probably is very unlikely. Thanks - I take it he is playing in France then. How long is his contract?
Sorry if this is generally well understood info.
