How good is this! What a great weekend of rugby coming up! Keen to see the reds centre combo of Dre & Henry. Excited to see young Jarrah McLeod for the Brumbies, he was pretty impressive vs the Lions, definitely didn't shy away on the big stage

Tahs v Force has a lot of rookies in the getting their first showings in the backs. Packs seem fairly equal.

Big difference in the experience in both games. Reds v Brums has Super Rugby standard sides running out.

Have to think Reds are favourites for this comp. These guys have played a lot of Super Rugby together.

I'm wondering, Taine Roiri who was in Reds squad, playing for Manawatu here in NZ, has he lost his contract with Reds?

Looking forward to HMP out playing Declan only for Brumbies fans to spout as much gibberish as Barnaby does about how Declan should be in the Wallabies squad.

If anyone from rugby australia had any clue they'd have played the u19s and soup rugby au tahs v force game as curtain raisers to the wallabies v argentina test.

1000am - U19s
1200pm - Super rugby AU
200pm - Test match
I reckon playing U19s midweek would have been interesting. Wednesday night would not clash with NRL or AFL finals.

Not how I recall their last meeting going tbf, but I'll be delighted to see any flyhalf deliver a dominant performance (as I'm sure would every other Australian rugby fan).

I guess with the Brums going youth as a choice it has answered my question about how this is approached by some sides. Is it build toward next year which seems the Reds approach which is fair given they would have 90% of the squad all locked up anyway or is it build up the stockpile of players and figure out depth charts which seems the Brums.

Tahs and Force have had their hands forced more on selections with only limited very good players they are with the Wallabies. Going to look at it as a forced positive to get time into guys who can compete for Super Rugby games next year and the first exposure of players who are more likely to be seen from 2027 onwards like Jacques, Durbidge etc.

Just looking at the U19 comp - 3 rounds and a GF

Last year it was 5 rounds and a GF.

Bloody Melbourne Rebels cowboys really doing a number on our development pathways.
