The crowd at Optus Stadium will almost certainly see the Wallabies break a cumulative domestic attendance record for a calendar year - outside the 2003 Rugby World Cup - with a potential total of around 371,000 from seven Tests. That would smash the record set in 2012 (325,073), although the highest per-game crowd came in 2001, when almost 312,000 attended just five Tests, at an average of over 62,000 per Test.

Scotland in Newcastle (yuk)
3 against Wales (Suncorp, Etihad and SFS)
NZL at Telstra Stadium and Suncorp
SAF at Perth
Argentina on the Gold Coast

So 9 tests in total at home and I guess two local Bledisloes.

Take the 20k from the bonus test in the June window vs Scotland brings the figure very broadly in line with the other two years you host a 3rd bled.

La Rochelle games are 5am 22/9 (Monday), 12:30am 28/9 (Sunday) and 10:30pm 4/10 (Saturday)

If they make him play the first two games, it's hard to see how he could make Monday training in any sort of state. Maybe he could make training on Tuesday 30/9 and miss the 4/10 game?? It seems pretty unlikely to travel all the way to Perth for one game.

Of the remaining flyhalves that aren't already in the squad, I think Debreczini is the obvious next call-up if one is needed. Yes he's run hot and cold over the years, but he's had a strong season and gave a really good account of himself for the FNPs. Meredith is fresh out of the wrapper and McLaughlin-Phillips looks absolutely nowhere near making a step up.

That is an interesting signing for the Tahs. I thought Debreczini was retiring? McKellar let's Tane go and Joe Schmidt rates him as a starting 10 for the Wallabies. The Tahs are such a poor franchise for the talent they have at their disposal and let then go. I don't understand them.

Did Tahs offer him a contract? He might have been wanted, but maybe thought Brumbies would be better for his development. History would tell us this is likely accurate given Brumbies development reputation.
