"Following in the footsteps of the National Rugby Championship and Super Rugby AU, the inaugural Super Rugby AUS season will run across four weeks, kicking off on Friday, 12th September and concluding on Sunday, 5th October.

The Super Rugby sides will play out of several suburban grounds as double headers with the existing Super Rugby Men’s U19s competition."

For anyone getting to the Festival of Rugby in Narrabri. Good value on 2 day tickets and really good for the premium ticket if you want to get amongst some wine tasting with the footy.

That would be terrible for the field with the important match copping the worst conditions and I'm not entirely sure what the point of it would be with the test match already drawing a sell out crowd.

Yes - the Wallabies game is actually the last game to be played on Allianz before it closes for 3 months to fix up the drainage.

well getting to warringah rugby park friday night is next to impossible for anyone that doesn't live in warringah for the super rugby au game.

if you think that is sensible i can't help you.

at least play the u19s pre-test - gives them a chance to play in front of a decent crowd. great retention tool to give them a buzz of playing in the big stadium. if i was in the team I'd rather that then play in front of 25 people at rat park. these kinds of opportunities are what the code regularly misses out on.

I think you have the right intention just the wrong delivery, playing all three games on the same day is a bit pointless given no one would be there for the 10 am game and families and friends couldn’t even attend if they wanted to noting it’s a sell-out. Not to mention the Field damage

But potentially just having the one game as a curtain razor before hand could have been a good idea, Especially for the under 19’e

A curtain raiser needs to kick off a minimum of 2.5 hours before the game to allow the field to be clear in time for the teams to warm up etc. For a test that might be longer given the matchday presentation is usually more than you'd have for a

You aren't going to have a meaningful crowd at 11:30am to watch a curtain-raiser. The times when they attract a decent crowd are when the curtain-raiser has its own audience (i.e. a schools game before a Waratahs game or a Wallaroos test before a Waratahs game). This works when tickets are relatively cheap and there are plenty available.
