If we clear $115M from this tour and are in a position of net cash on hand in the $50M range, that’s pretty bloody good.
Do we have a sense if the women’s World Cup generates positive cash flow typically? Hopefully some full crowds at home tests.
Rugby Nations cup starting soon will spin money our way regularly and then the $100M+ from the World Cup in 2 years
There’s scope for us to actually be in a solid position. Not sure if nations cup can sustain us positive.
Sportwashing works
Can't recall - think Greg Clark mentioned at a lunch its still playing out.
We do need a 5th team back - we have the players - just not the $...
The idea was having a second tenant at the ground would help secure state and local government investments in the venue. Not sure where this sits but looks like the A league has just kicked out another club from the comp. Western United gooone.

Disputes, financial issues rock Western Unitedwww.nine.com.au
If you recall, the Rebels for some reason tried to hitch themselves to them as they were being booted.
To be fair not every ground has to be in the CBD. The SFS is better than a lot of the suburban grounds in Sydney and they still get state government money spent on themMove the team to tarneit so that the state government might invest more in the venue to get it to a level below AAMI park.
Sounds like that ownership team was on the case!
