Cranbrook won the 2nd XV, similar result to 1st XV, 30-40ish v 5 (sorry, can't recall the exact Cranbrook score, but Stannies was 5).

Good open game of Rugby and result overplays the actual difference between the teams. (Stannies did much better than the scoreline).
I'd argue that's been Stannies MO all year. They seem to be in the hunt in every game but haven't been able to capitalise so far.

I remember the All Saints team of’89 who nearly went all the way in the Waratah Shield when it was a serious comp. Knocked over a few GPS schools before losing to Eddies in the final. Punched well above their weight and that was an outstanding age group built around a Grenfell / West Wyalong cohort. A million miles from that these days.
That was Stannies in the '89 Waratah Shield final. Lost 9 to 6 to Eddie's.

You've got to add the various games from Term 2 within association. They won't be repeated.
I don't think there were any forfeits within the Red/ Black internal games.

Starting ladders in a 2/0 system here - http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/community/threads/cas-isa-scores-tables-2025.19862/post-1488091
The only issue I see with that, is that ISA played one more round of games and they weighted their 1xv with an additional game point as well giving ISA a pretty big points advantage.

Stannies has Kinross at Kinross. (ISA vs ISA having only played each other to end last term) This may render the idea of the points table for the CSA & ISA Black essentially void?
Ive tried to work it out and I think it might have something to do with there is an odd number of schools in Black (Pius didn't play last weekend) and the potential of both Stannies and Kinross parents and players wanting to be back in front of a screen to watch the 3rd Lions test.

It's probably not a bad way to deal with it to be honest. 4 ISA teams need to have a BYE in CASISA Black so Pius have theirs week 1, Stannies and Kinross have theirs week 2 and Gregs have theirs week 3.

Not a perfect system, but not bad

Games and predictions for this weekend?
CASISA Red Round 2:

Oakhill V Knox @ Damian Oval

I dont know what to make of the result last week against Barker. I honestly thought it would have been closer than that. red cards dont help but I don think that explains the blow out. If I'm Oakhill, I'm wanting to bounce back as hard as I can and in a true case of #metoo , Oakhill will want to do as their Brookvale cousins have done and take it to Knox. I dont think Knox will allow it to happen though and will learn from last week's narrow loss to Auggies. Predicting a very tight Knox win.
Program Outcome - Knox are declining match ups in the 14s and 13s so Oakhill starts the day with a 2-0 lead. Predicting wins for Oakhill in the 15s and 2nds with Knox taking the 1sts and so I'll say a 4-2 win to Oakhill

Pats v Barker @ Breen Oval
I fear it's going to be a tough day for the men in black this weekend and the weather wont help. Pats game is based around competency in all parts of the game without being outstanding in any. A wet track is not going to help this. I think Barker's track record speaks for itself and the should account for Pats. Barker by 20+
Program Outcome - Barker are declining a match up in the 13s so Pats takes a 1 nil lead into the weekend. I think they are capable of 1 more win and I'd look to the 14s or 16s to achieve this. Barker 4-2

Auggies v Waverley @ Pittwater Rugby Park
This game appears to be scheduled on the Friday night this week with all remaining games on the Saturday. Playing under lights will be a highlight for sure. In order for Waverley to win this game will require either a re-think or a doubling down on their current approach - run it from anywhere! I think the wet weather will have a massive impact on this game and I believe Auggies have the nous to make full use of it. It's a pity this isnt a dry track game as it would be one of the highlights of the comp. Auggies by 10+
Program Outcome - This will be so close. It's a toss of the coin in the senior age groups but I suspect that Waverley may have the goods in the juniors to over come. I'll hedge my bets and say 3-3

CASISA Black Round 2:

Gregs v Cranbrook @ The Hill
I think it will be a rough day out this Saturday for Gregs. Their 5th place in CAS doesnt accurately reflect their ability - Cranbrook 1st XV can play. As always, if Greg's turn up the defensive pressure they may cause an upset but it will take Greg's at their best to do this. Cranbrook by 15+
Program Outcome - Look to the 14s game for Greg's to come out on top and potentially the 13s as well. Cranbrook 5-1

Chev vs Aloys @ Main Oval, Chevalier
A wonderful day out for the Aloys boys as Chev "enters the chat". This 1st XV game, played on the picturesque Main Oval in Bowral will be a great occasion for both schools. One can only hope that a structure like this helps revive Chev back to the power that it once was. I really dont know how to pick the 1st XV winner here. I'll take a punt and say that the CAS experience of Aloys may prove too much for the Chev boys to handle. Aloys by 5+
Program Outcome - I believe some of these fixtures will be handled by Oxley College down the road so that should prove a quality expereince for all teams. I have no idea of the strength of the Chev/Oxley teams so let's call it a 3 all draw :)

Pius v Trinity at Chaplin Oval
Without a doubt, MOTR for CASISA Black this weekend and one not to miss. 3rd v 3rd and both teams willing and able. How far can Pius stretch the good results from this season? Will Trinity have a plan B if the weather means their backs cant fire? All will be revealed and the best of luck to both teams. I'm saying Trinity by 5
Program Outcome: I dont know what the status of the Pius 15a is. I know they didnt play either A or B grade in ISA last term so I can only assume this will be the case I'd assume that Trinity carries in a 1-0 lead. I will say a 5-1 to Trinity with Pius 2nd XV preventing the clean sweep.

Kinross v Stannnies @ The Fortress
The time honoured rivalry writes another chapter this weekend in Orange. As is always the case with these things, current form isnt a predictor of outcome and this is especially true in this game. You'd say that Stannies probably have the edge in 1sts and Kinross will have to step up with their line defence to make an impact. Predicting a 5+ for Stannies but anything is possible.
Program Outcome: This will be close but I think Stannies may have too much beef in the senior grades. 5-1 to Bathurst

Thanks DaS
I think the game of the round is Pius vs Trinity followed closely by Oakhill Vs Pius.
It is an absolute pity about the rain and depending if Councils have control of grounds, we may not get much rugby.
I'm just thankful that no games are being played at Queens Park as I am 99% certain they would be cancelled.
Does anyone know who makes the wet weather call at The Sydney Academy of Sport in Narrabeen?

Has already been discussed last week but I remain amazed the illustrious bastions of Knox and Barker won't stump up 13s or 14s for the opposition. Just pathetic.
Just to be clear, Barker are only declining the 13s this week, but it was the 15s last week. Knox is declining the 13s and 14s for the second week in a row.

Does anyone know if Aug V Wav will be streamed on NSW Rugby TV, as its just been confirmed by Aug's Instagram page that they're having a friday night game.
