I'm okay with the rule when it is clearly cynical (which tbh we rarely see nowadays which I think its a good result of bringing the law in) but there was cover coming given how much the Brothers player slowed down, so to rule a penalty try is farcical. The Easts player was also facing toward his own in-goal so it's a bit of a stretch to say he deliberately knocked the ball on.Ok I found it*
Last defender, and sticks his arm out (can't convince me that an arm outstretched as far as it can reach to your side is a natural movement in an attempted wrap). If that pass goes to hand bros score.
I fucken hate that knock downs are penalties, but it's pretty clearly a knock down.
Also didn't send a Brothers player to the bin for the same infringement later in the game.
Certainly didn't cost Easts the game, just a pretty heavy handed decision given Dallans unwillingness to correctly apply the law when it came to the scrums later in the game.
