Round 6 Results:

Unfortunately the University of Newcastle closed the main ground on the Rugby Club and only 1sts and Womens could go ahead in that matchup.

Looks like southern beaches are in for a tough second half of the year across the grades, all the other clubs seem to be jostling for position in each grade. No club is really standing out across all grades.

Looking that way, they usually perform well in third grade so will wait and see if they bounce back there.

Hey mate,

Match of the round would be Maitland v Merewether in 1st Grade at Maitland, both the 2024 and 2023 GF rematch. Although if you are wanting a game in Newcastle my choice would be Wanderers v Hamilton at No. 2 Sportsground.

Maitland (2nd) v Merewether (1st) @ Maitland.
Wanderers (4th) v Hamilton (3rd) @ Wanderers.

The first game will be a better game imo, and Maitland always have a nice crowd for their games. Wanderers have a class stadium/ground to watch at.
