I wouldn't discount New and View just yet. Kings has been inconsistent so I wouldn't be surprised if Shore beats them at home next week.

You would be surprised @Jockey181, some boys grit and determination can beat the odds and get back on the field earlier than expected. I'm with wisey, I think we will see him back this season.

Let's not Jynx it but the superb footy weather we've had for the start of the GPS season has really let some fantastic Rugby be played and I believe allowed the dominant side to break away late in most games. We haven't seen anything be spoiled and dragged down.
The first 10 minutes felt as though View picked up where they left off. Direct, sharp and some resilient defence. Osbournes try from a quick tap showed the power of lad and something I think Shore will look back on and rue. They knew it was coming, the ref called him back to do it again and they stood on their heels instead of meeting him in the middle. Looked a representation of one side high on confidence and the other a bit down on themselves.
From this point View decided to emulate their 2nd XV counterparts and turn the ball over after a promising 2,3 phases. As View couldn't get the scoreboard ticking you could see Shore build into it and think this may be the form turnaround everyone has been waiting for. Shore went on to have the momentum for the back end of the half and pounced for a pair of nice tries but couldn't get enough on the board to pressure View I believe. 12/7 HT
View needed HT as a reset and get back to basics which is through the guts. When the scrum has that much dominance the boys with single digits on their backs have to be hungry for more and that's what seemed to happen. Non stop hard runs from the pack seemed to really tire out Shore and force some questionable choices when they finally got ball in hand.
We've witnessed this v Oakhill, Kings and Scots now. The game can feel in the balance at HT but the Iggies side have a motor on them that challenges the opposition to go with them if you can, but it seems most cant and they break you late. Credit to their fitness over the last few years that has clearly improved. View use to fade or get the wobbles in this type of game but it takes some character to be a man down for basically the entire 2nd half and gap your opponent who are clearly chomping for a win.
View took there opportunities in the last 20 mins and put on the points to seal it. Whilst the game felt closer than the score showed, it overall was a fair reflection of a game which was dominated by one at both set pieces and the majority of play. If Shore can play like the good middle 40 mins of that match they will get a couple wins before the end of the year.

Yes I would agree.
But Muir essentially kept the Newington pack in it, and Reich was best on ground against Shore. Lots of tough outs every week. Only 15 can recieve.

Yes that ref does love a hip drop call, not sure how it can be a penalty when it’s not a prohibited law in our game. Only league from my understanding.

It was me. I heard the commentary on his phone and my ears pricked up. Our family are Jets fans due to my wife's best friend is from Winnipeg. I have been to a couple of NHL games which is simply put a boxing match where a game of ice hockey breaks out. He was so nice to talk hockey and Leafs with me. A really good young lad. It was a great result yesterday and the Joeys boys cheered loudly, mind you Scots lads were impressive. But not as loud as Jets fans!

I would say that Shore’s biggest enemies this year is themselves, their injuries have almost ruined the start of their year. Could they be the dark horses for term 3 with a possible full lineup?

Currently if a player receives a red card, does the GPS suspend them for a game? also is there a judicial process around this or some capacity to appeal the decision?

depending on the action yes they suspend, however there has been instances where the suspension is appealed.
most recent to my memory is Kings 23 where fakafunu was red carded against Scots and appealed his suspension and won.

What an amazing and dominant performance from Kings XV over Newington.
Also a massive shoutout to the red-headed kings no.12 who was by far my standout player of the match. He was both offensively and defensively sound throughout the 80. He may of missed 1 or 2 tackles but his kicking game, and defence was nothing but superb. With this being said, If he keeps consistent, I’m sure he’s up for a strong shout in the GPS teams at a later date. Furthermore he was an absolute rock in the centres against joeys, shutting his man down, and really bringing the heat and consistency in that nail biting win last weekend.
My apologies for not knowing his name, if anyone could share that would be greatly appreciated. I’m more than confident this young lad is full of potential and would be a major and important piece to this premiership contending kings side.
