The three winners and top ranked loser progress to the semis…

So, if I’ve got this right…

Crusaders and Chiefs both win, regardless of whether the Brumbies win or lose against the Canes both teams proceed to the semis…

Crusaders and/or Chief lose, the Brumbies must win but host a semi final if they do?

Yep it is pretty simple really.
I will add as Canes man, in the Brumbies/Crusaders game on weekend I was hoping for a Brumbies win, as I think we have the game to beat Crusaders more than the Brumbies.

Based on the discussion in the Super Rugby thread I think the Brumbies need the Crusaders to lose if they are going to host a home semi - If just the Chiefs lose they "drop one ranking point" to second (Crusaders would now be first) and the Chiefs and Crusaders would still be hosting the semis.

Confirmed:

"All Blacks hooker Asafo Aumua limped out of training at the New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport on Tuesday afternoon and was taken away on a cart.

"The Hurricanes co-captain appeared to be in visible discomfort after copping a blow to his knee..."

I wouldn't be upset if we reversed the trend of recent years, lost to the Hurricanes in the qualifying final and then won the semi final in NZ...

I reckon the biggest threats to the Brumbies come from Kirifi at 7 up against Rory Scott, and the centre pairing of Umaga-Jensen and Proctor against Feliuai and Len. Not to downplay the Brumbies centre pairing but those two for the Hurricanes have been on fire.

The biggest difference from the last time they met is the absence of Naholo against Corey Toole.
