It's a skill, and it seems that Aus teams just don't train for it. It has never been a strength in Aus rugby. Well, not since Mark Ella.Noah Lolesio has been the starting 10 for the Brumbies for 6 years. Any flyhalf worth his salt would have organised his team into field position to take the 3 there. Very poor leadership
Look, taking 3 is is not bad, per se, but the maul has always been a Brumbies strength, and they had a possible chance of a Crusaders YC with the sequence of penalties. The first thing I thought when they kicked the penalty was "there is too much time left" and the Crusaders could get deep into the Brumbies 22 off the kick-off. Which they did.The penalty a minute earlier had Wright rushing in to say go for the corner. No doubt you liked it. I'd have taken the 3 points then. But I lived in the England for 10 years, no doubt it altered my rugby thinking.
Have you ever heard “Counter ruck is good!” so much in a game? I mean probably not since the last Doleman game

Hard for the Brumbies.
Sadly, that's un-Australian!Oh, I'm not arguing your position. Looking back you are completely on the pulse. I'd have taken the 3 earlier all the same. And it would simply have given the Crusaders more time to set up the ending. Though I would also have set up for a drop kick at the end.
He always does this. Refs the scrums to the most arcane letter of the law then once players start moving around at speed in open play he says fuckit I cant keep up do what you likeGood counter ruck? they were all off their feet? Doleman losing the game here.
Morgs has just absolutely given it to the match officials. He is right. It’s cost them a home final, gate takings and has altered the outcome of the finals series.
He could open his eyes and see a blatant knock on? In saying that he missed a 1000 knock ons towards the end from both teams. Claimed a few were “off the foot”.
So odd how pro players can train all week and not take 20 mins to sort out a drop kick plan to, you know, win the actual rugby football match. Just plow into brick wall defenses, forever 15 metres away from the opponents tryline.
Sums him up.Brumbs had their chances and took too long to adjust to Doleman. But he’s not fine. He’s a bloody hard watch. The ruck is an absolute mess. It’s chaos with players off their feet and in the side constantly! The discussion is his reffing performance. That includes the passage of play that had so many knock ons it wasn’t funny. Which culminated with the Reece one. In that instance I’m sure someone like Gardner would have asked the TMO to check it. Then there were the scrums. Took an age to call set, no wonder they were going early. In closing he has an odd feel for the game that I just can’t cop.
Probably saved them from losing more money to be honest. Crowd was embarrassing again tonight.Morgs has just absolutely given it to the match officials. He is right. It’s cost them a home final, gate takings and has altered the outcome of the finals series.
