Well said run through the middle. I noticed you had a quote in your message from barkers championship game in 1939, from memory Knox beat Aloys in that one, mabye your dates are wrong?

The names Arthur (I named him after Beetson LOL). He should be wearing my grandad's bright yellow arm band that he passed down to me in the 40's. Be sure to grab him on the run out (he loves being touched).
I be sure to give Arthur a love tap when he's running out against Aloy's this weekend. I'm sure he will stand out with the yellow arm band.

Thanks mate.

Not to be biased, but my 15-year-old son is getting up for Barker this weekend. Gave him some Arthur Beetson film to get him prepared. One of my favourite players growing up. Doesn't help that I grew up in Taree (LOOOOOL).

Tip for the boys: Run hard.
As philips cox once said during the '84 ireland tour ""Rugby: where the shorts are short, the tackles are hard, and the boys are harder." One of randwicks greats. Just one for the boys playing this weekend.

Scrum Hard

Ah yes, the wise words of Phillips Cox — philosopher, flanker, and part-time poet of the front row.

Here’s hoping the boys this weekend bring the same energy — I'm sure the boys will be absolutely bricked, rock hard. No team will be able to run through them.

Scrum respectfully,

SDORE

Great message scrumbledore. Just pointing out your message, "Scrum respectfully." Back in my day, boys would be gettin the whip if they didn't dig their heads into each other.

I hope so, it makes watching the game all the better, that hard defence almost impossible to penetrate. Their forwards will have to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

When the boys are that bricked up it's all about the wrist work of the backs and spreading the ball to the edge to hopefully make a break.

Unsure whether of not U16 teams have developed that yet, with the best players already in the opens program.
