I think it depends on the path you've taken and the super/top flight sides in question as to whether its forwards, backwards or sideways, but a stint as a tier 1 national assistant would definitely add to Cron's resume.

Look maybe. He may tee up his next gig prior to going 5 & 9 then sit with the Wallabies for a couple years then land a Japanese HC gig again.
