@twister29 another option could be for Richie to be dropped as he has not been in the bust form recently. The Robertson could move to 10 as he has experience there from the 16s.

Who else would you drop? Either Ritchie or Hockey and then shift everything around which would affect the entire backline. It's a hard decision and is awkward but I feel Robertson is not the worst decision. I'll keep my views on this till after round 3.

Probably the obvious choice keeping Richie in the team as he has more experience than Robertson at 10. It’s a real hard area for the shore coaches as none of them have been outstanding but none doing bad enough to be dropped.

Wendt (E) moving to outside is not really possible with a strong captain Francis (E) playing at outside. They wouldn’t want him at winger, as he has been excellent throughout this year and adds to much to the backline. Is Robertson (E) the weakest link. I don’t believe so but for sure the coaches have a challenge to juggle.

I think dropping Robertson is the best option in the end, as I agree anyone else would really screw the order of the backline. Just the standard he has been playing recently makes initially hard to entail. However this is potentially a good sign, as having a high standards and tight competition in selection points to depth.

Robertson, also doesn’t show much interest in the 10 jersey, definitely preferring a centre role

I've been reading this forum for quite a while now but have only just made an account to get amongst things.
I was just curious as to where we draw the line about negative chants/booing in the gps competition. By this i mean if it is unacceptable to shout during kicks for goal ( which i am not defending), is shouting during a line out also a no go or play on?

Any crowd reports and rankings from this week? Heard Riverview had a supportive away crowd.

Heard from my nephew from Scots that the senior shore boys have been upset with the lack of turnout for the shore boys particularly year 7 & 8. Could this lead to a decline for the blue army or what shore call themselves.

I suppose you pose a great argument, Newington loves to scream whilst a conversion is being undertaken, Scots seem to love a good whistle during the conversion. Kings and Shore definitely have the Kick offs covered in terms of putting of the catcher. I think the line is drawn when kicking conversions. Old boys never seem to follow rules, Joeys and view in particular with those passionate OBs.

I believe that it is just pure respect and commraderie to not shout whilst a kicker is kicking. This was shown perfectly at the scots and shore game as shore remained quite whilst the kick was being taken which gained many people a higher level of respect for shore. But i believe shouting during a line out is fine as it creates pressure.

During conversions isn't on but during lineout is culture. Love seeing stuff like this.

I know that for conversions, respectful silence before the ball is kicked is an unwritten rule. Once the ball is in the air it’s a free for all, it won’t affect the kicker.

The controversy lies around the kick offs aswell. But i mean every school does it and I believe it adds excitement and fun to the game and the crowd as it draws greater pressure from the crowds.

There’s a few unwritten rules of the crowds from the gps. However the majority of the cheering/jeering is controlled by the teachers supervising. Sometimes the teachers there don’t watch the rugby and just watch the crowd to make sure no one is saying anything negative!

Unfortunately, he’s been hard done by here. I think at the moment he’s playing one of the best in Shores struggling backline. Whilst he’s quite a small centre, i didn’t see him miss a tackle on the weekend and proved the week before that he is a tackling machine. Would be interesting to see how Shore goes without his defensive dominance this week.

I think with the kickoffs, it is completely fine to chant while the kicker is in action. Adds to the suspense and culture of the game and shows the passion from the boys in the crowd.
