Sword of Justice

First Wallaroos test match for me and Mrs Sword last night. The players really competed extremely hard at the gain line and had ascendancy there for large parts of the match but really choked themselves by being almost completely unable to complete a set piece throughout the game.

Palu, Dawa and Caslick standouts for us. Really I'm not sure why we are fluffing around with Caslick at 12 or 15. Just give her the ball.

Canada 6 was a beast all game. Size and athleticism with skills. Their whole team had the technical details well drilled. Clearly more of a professional mindset for them evident in the warm up and anthems as well.

I usually don't watch the 15's, just the 7's but it was a good time to watch with my 11 year old daughter.

The set piece looked terrible for the Wallaroos, It made me wonder if they have a specific forwards coach?

I don't know if an improvement would change the result but it seems that we could at least compete with better line outs.

Can one of the forwards coaches for men's rugby spend a few months with the women to lift this area of their game if they don't currently have a coach?

Yeah I don’t want to be rude about it but they did seem like they were doing lineouts and scrums for the first time out there.
