Super Rugby 2025 NZ/ Drua/ Moana matches

Toala has done a hamstring and Moana are down to 14 - there's no one left on the bench. This may end up as a new record score line for super rugby....

Week 16

Friday 30/05 Highlanders v Chiefs 19:05 NZT

Hard to see anything other than a big W for Tribe who's PD of 214 is already over double that of next-best CruSadists 94.

Saturday 31/05 Hurricanes v Moana 19:05

Not sure how Tana gets his troops to regroup from Saturday's massacre in the 'tron in the time available.

Talk about a half of two halves...

I've resisted the temptation to jump on the Tavatavanawai bandwagon as long as I can but I'm now officially on board. I don't care if he's a hobbit, bloke does everything you want a 12 to do with a few things you expect of a 7 for good measure.

Edit: really good stat graphic put up while Tupaea was being prepped for medicab: Clan scoring fewer points in each quarter than the one before, Tribe scoring more incl over 140 in each of the last two. Inflated by last week for sure but still impressive/ ominous for future opponents.

This has a World Cup feel from the ref. Chiefs get away with murder at the breakdown and Otago cop it up the blurter. Same thing I guarantee will happen tomorrow with the ref (being human) will always give the benefit of the doubt to the Blues and if the Waratahs do the same thing it will be a penalty.

Well, ready for Canes vs MP (Moana Pasifika). If you lived in Wellington area, I guess you would be a bit pissed Regional Council, cancelling all trains for weekend, There are usually a lot of people that use the trains for going to game (perhaps why they built caketin at the station!

Probably the least-bad long weekend to catch up on maintenance provided of course there's enough buses to pick up the slack.
