Would likely say most junior games and non competition senior games will be off this week.

my understanding with Kings is As and B teams plus 1st 2nds and maybe 3rds will get on.
For the teams playing on council grounds, you would expect those games to be called off unfortunately. Luckily this only the case for teams playing Scots. Would be unprecedented to see 1st, 2nds, 3rds and even 16as to be called off these day. Hopefully the weather subdued and we get a good weekend of footy

rumour in: 2 XV fowardman Latham will potentially get a Run for New 1st XV as Villamu and Shieck expected to continue to be out. Heard this boys had some deadly intercepts for a foward. Any thoughts?

I think it's rather funny/sad that some, and only some, GPS posters luv having a crack at this Scots over indulgence, no doubt it is very much in your face, but to be honest so is much of the AAGPS stance about playing a 2 round comp against each other, very elitist for such a tiny comp, AND this is NOT the history of the AAGPS comp, it has nearly always been a 1 round comp.
The CAS thread has been blocked by the Joker/Mods for very good reasons, too may idiots posting, and there are several boys also clearly posting on the AAGPS thread. I hope and expect that the CAS thread will be open tomorrow, Friday, prior to this Saturdays games.

Hopefully, Scots are able to at least host all home games on their school field, would be disappointing to only see 4 games at Scots, due to the rest of their games being held at Centennial park. Hoping other schools are able to host majority of their games, as well. Hoping the weather improves.

Extremely unlikely, cant remember a school cancelling their ones in recent years.

100%. Main issue is they have to postpone to some point otherwise it ruins the season scoring, one game cannot be cancelled and the others play, for obvious reasons. Technically they can cancel an entire round, but it’s not great for the ladder and I don’t remember it being done. Essentially, for the season to score properly, every round must be played, being on that Saturday or a later date.

It appears that the majority of Shore v. Scots games will be held at Scots, though over a pretty limited set of fields… hopefully this will limit the number of council cancellations. I do worry for the lower opens teams however, I can’t imagine any groundskeeper in their right mind would field 7 teams before the first XV in this downpour. Regardless the weekend will inevitably close with the Deathstar’s paddock churned into an earthworm smoothie the Wookies are so fond of, will make that matchup ever more interesting to see

Would love more thursday evening games however most grounds just don't have sufficient lighting unfortunately.

Off those fixtures, it remains that Scots only has 6 games on their firsts oval, and the rest are planned at Centennial park, which I am sure is looking more like a swamp at the current moment then a Rugby field. Not high expectations for those games to be on.
