Anyone know what the team lists look like for this weeks trial matches, or any big selection news? Would like to gain some info ahead of the season.

Hold your horses, A.T.A. trials have only just started! There’s gonna be more lineup changes than a TikTok dance trend. And getting team lists? Mate, that’s harder than convincing a BBC kid to skip pipe practice.

Unless you’re straight-up creeping around training sessions like some sort of footy perv with binoculars and a GoPro.

N.K.

Easy there, tiger. This particular Church of England Grammar School outfit is full of hidden gems. Think of them like a curry pie, maybe a little plain on the outside, but the deeper you dig, the more flavour you find. Take Sam Williams (8), Alfie Bowman (9), Fletcher Austin (10), and Treyvon Pritchard (12), this spine packs serious potential. The loose forwards and inside backs? Locked and loaded. The tight five and back three? Well... let’s just say there’s room for a glow-up. Still, they’re a squad worth watching. I wouldn’t be so quick to slap the “worst in the comp” label on them, especially before they've even laced up for a GPS trial. Give them a run before writing them off.
Have to agree with QTT here, cant write them off before they've had a fair crack. However, with all due respect I reckon ACGS this year are all bark and no bite. Only time will tell though and things are shaping up for an interesting season.

Honestly, I’m with NutKnowsGPSFooty on this — the way you’re coming across here feels really off, borderline creepy, A.T.A.

Sorry mate,
I'm just so keen for footy season to start, and I want to know which players to watch. No creeping around sessions here, I'm too busy in Canberra making important political decisions.

Ipswich grammar are smashed with injuries, i don’t see them as major competitors this year. TGS, BBC, NC, TSS the schools to watch.

It’s a shame for IGS (or any side for that matter) when they are smashed by injuries. Not sure how many they have returning from last year, but to be honest I thought they were a definitely a better side in 2024 than their ladder finish might otherwise indicate. They lost 3 straight games by less than four points to BBC, BSHS & TSS. Finished the season 1 win behind TSS and 2 behind BBC. I get that if you didn’t win the game you didn’t win the game but I really don’t think they were that far off a few sides that finished above them at the end of the season.

Speaking of trials does anyone have the Nudgee team list for the game against Southport this Saturday

jack calleja (ACL), their blindside flanker import don’t know his name, the loss of James Gray and hooker are all injured.
Very disappointing for IGS
Before these injuries I thought they were up there with TSS, NC, BBC, and TGS in terms of the frontrunners for the GPS title this year
They still have some strike power in players such as Hemi Rakuita so will be interesting to see how they develop throughout the season

No side published for Nudgee in RE but appears TSS have named a team.

TGS have a number 3, new fella James Tulikaki from NZ, with the number 10 position, 16A’s talent cooper brown slots right in, had an amazing 16A’s and he’ll be one to watch. If Craig Thaggard plays 8, it’ll be a battle between Tusi and Burrow for the number 12 jersey, which I believe Tusi should win. Predicted TGS lineup as follows:
  1. Harrison Humphreys
  2. Ruben Kruger
  3. James Tulikaki
  4. Ben Walker
  5. Rupeni Baravilala (c)
  6. Ethan Ramsey
  7. Keegan Cook
  8. Craig Thaggard
  9. Sam Elms or Jack Brown (Very close contest)
  10. Cooper Brown
  11. Adam Davis
  12. Rhymen Tuilagi-Tusi or Luke Burrow
  13. Petelo Maka
  14. Isiah Wuruki
  15. Myles Rosemond
I think is out - James Tulikaki
Rhymen Tuilagi playing 8
Ruben Kruger under pressure from PJ however Kruger gets the chocolates as incumbent
