Always a lottery at the 13s.... who has the most early growers....
There's 5 quite strong teams in the 13s from my observations
Waverly, TKS, Trinity, Joeys & Auggies
As a measure the current 2025 graduating class of TKS lost all games when they were 13s, however, that being said the 1stXV only has 2 or 3 who played 13as in 2020.

Agree...students will leave schools and student certainly join schools in later years. Students move the other sports as well. All impact the quality of the top teams.

Last I heard Bassingthwaighte is round 6 (correct me if I am wrong), and Callaghan is potentially this weekend but most likely will not return until next week.

Shore will be hoping they return sooner rather than later if they want a shot at the title. It will be intresting to see the changes in the squad once these boys return. Any ideas?

Rex can return for round 6 but he will likely wait till round 7 as the holidays are in-between these two and this will mean he is 100 percent for round 7. Callaghan has been given the choice I believe whether he plays this week. I think he will be more inclined to wait till round 3 however but hopefully not. Wendt will play fullback in the 1s this week if Callaghan doesn't return.

Hannon was outstanding in the 2XV on Saturday, had the ball on a string and controlled the game well. I will be astonished if he isn't in the 1XV this weekend. Although the Joeys 1XV won I'd say their backline was one of the clunkiest I've seen produced in years. Thoughts?

Keeping it real somewhat, whilst he did have a great game, it's hard not to look outstanding when your team dominates by such a huge margin. Different discussion if he's doing this against much stronger teams week in/week out.

He was very enjoyable to watch in the 2s and a very nice meat pie in the corner too. Reminds me of Callaghan...

Thoughts on King at 10 against View last week? I thought he did well.

Watched the game on streamer - thought he was outstanding at 10. Controlled the game well and always looked dangerous.

I think the reason his team won by so much was because of him. His X-Factor with the ball, paired with his playmaking, speed and agility lead to him being a real threat and leading SJC to what was a convincing victory

News out of Newington is that Makasini will not be playing 1st this week and will do dropped to the 2XV as last week he chose Rugby Leauge instead of playing round 1 of the GPS. Massive news for Newington here as they dont want to change there winning round 1 team.
