Dont think Shore won a game today sadly. Credit to Joeys through the grades - jeez every team is the same - crisp passing, fit and time after time, speedy wingers and fullbacks scoring tries.
That number 10 for Joeys 2nds is one to watch. Year 10 as well.
I think this is too harsh on the old SGS. I think some of the talent is being overlooked despite the recent results (which are only in trials). The year 12 players have some good skill including the fullback who will likely be a contender for a GPS team. The team is young but ready to play only going down by small margins and simple things in the games so far. I would definately keep my eye on them this year after the strong performance last year.1. It's good to hear from you, @electrobro. I agree with you about your post-game review. I saw some very dangerous tackles out there on the field. I hope that they can fix them before round 1 against the Scots boys again in Bellevue Hill.Hey, Try Line vet, I was watching from the hill on the weekend, truly is a great oval and a big thanks to TKS for hosting a great day at Parramatta.
It was great to see a few young men come up to me and have some great conversations,
Scots 3xv
I thought Scots demonstrated their talents in all areas on Saturday. Their forwards were taking good strong carries accumulating great post contact metres which allowed the scots backs to play off the back of this, Once the ball got to the backs it was pretty much game over with both the 9 and 11 having a double, as I said before this 3rds scots team is definitely a special one with talents all around the field, would not surprise me one bit if they get up for the prem this year.
Kings 3xv
A lot of things went wrong for the boys in blue and white on the weekend. The team quite simply got manhandled by a bigger, faster and better team. The king's forward pack was smaller than I've seen in recent years, and couldn't quite get things working for themselves A lot of dropped balls and errors were killing them. The #11 for kings was doing a lot of dangerous tackles, would like the coach to bring this up with him, would hate to see someone injured because of reckless or incorrect tackling technique. To summarise, the team just didn't feel connected out there, would love to see them bounce back from this loss.

Whilst its being fixed you can access results and ladders via choosing News from the upper RHS corner menu then choosing Sports Update (any date will do) and click on "here"Can someone please enlighten me why the official AAGPS ladders for 1sts and 2nds are not working. Is anyone else finding this?
That'll be 300 lines of...14C's were on gruel at dinner that night
that explains Barkers overwhelming participation in junior years….. or not.Success builds engagement at the lower levels though, no doubt many boys are playing Rugby as the result of being inspired by a Joseph Sua'ali'i , Will Penisini or Issac Fonua.
This is insane.
1.Scots3XV Ladder Predictions Anyone?
yes it isIs Jackson originally from St Stanislaus' College Bathurst?
TKS 1st Year 12 players include - No 1 / 5 / 6 / 8 / 9 / 13 / 11 / 15in fairness, majority of kings 1st xv is year 11. I can only name 4 year 12s off the top off my head
Fonua, Nicholas, Sawyer and Farah.
Unreal depth. There is a reason they are the historic champion. Not many can produce so much so young like they can.I think you might find that the #9 and #10 for Joeys 2nds were both year 10!
Newingtonga15 don't edit others post when replying, have some integrity. I did not reference the balance of the squad as "brand Spankers"This is insane.
Hannon was outstanding in the 2XV on Saturday, had the ball on a string and controlled the game well. I will be astonished if he isn't in the 1XV this weekend. Although the Joeys 1XV won I'd say their backline was one of the clunkiest I've seen produced in years. Thoughts?Dont think Shore won a game today sadly. I would say he is a shoe in if it wasn’t for Fogarty being so good on the weekend. Looks to be a critical part. And you cant shift him in at 15 because Minto played so well, and 13 because O’Connor was just about the best player in the AAGPS this round.Well said.
Hannon controlled their whole game.
Their ruck speed and phase speed proved too good and I especially thought got the better of Shores defensive line, as it allowed the ball to be played out to their outside backs and play their attacking structures much faster.
A little bit of brilliance from Hannon also didn't help Shore.
Hoping to see Hannon (J) in the 1XV this weekend against Newington
I'd also assume Joeys want to keep Hannon playing in the #10 as they look to the next couple of years, getting him all the time at #10 he can get is vital for his development into what looks to be a superstar at this point in time.I would say he is a shoe in if it wasn’t for Fogarty being so good on the weekend. Classic Joeys, suffering from success.
Hannon (10) not going anywhere without Wallace (9). Both yr 10 and have plenty of 1st footy ahead of them. Fogarty (10) faultless last weekend. Joeys 1st clunky and still winning.Well said.

Am certain all highlighted in yellow are all Year 12 players in TKS 1st XVTKS 1st Year 12 players include - No 1 / 5 / 6 / 8 / 9 / 13 / 11 / 15
Five current y11s 1st players won under un-defeated in 2015 then went straight to opens.
Newington will be looking scary this weekend with Makasini playing again. Definitely two premiership contenders. If the New boys can block out the crowd and utilise the speed of Roberts-Lintmejir, the size of Kupu and Makasini, and Granthams leading conversion rate, I can genuinely see an upset occuring at the Hill.
