Joeys Knox tomorrow. Go the mighty 14ths taking on the Scots of the Nth. 9ths tomorrow. Game of the round.....
I hear all sorts of things about how the NRL club/GPS rugby relationship works but it's all second or third hand so hard to know what's true. On the face of it, it seems NRL clubs can dictate to some extent when boys whose fees they are subsidising can train and play for their schools.Jai Callaghan the 15 not permitted by his bulldogs contract to train or play until the GPS season starts
Are you at Allianz or was there a stream of it somewhere?Just watched the Shore Vs Barker. Disappointing standard but nonetheless loved the back and forth between both sides.
would be keen to join if there is still spots Joker!TIPPING COMPETITION.
16 spots left!
For those new here I hope this explains how the tipping works
With only three games each week I created a system where players can score more points not on just who wins
This is achieved by using margins.
Various margins are worth points.
Points break down.
Lose- 0
Win- 3 points if your margin is BELOW +5 of the final score
Win- 5 points if your margin is ABOVE and WITHIN the +5
Win- 10 points you pick the margin exactly
DRAW- If you select a draw 20 points
Here is this in action.
Game is Scots College v Sydney Boys High
Final result
Scots 10 High 32
Winning margin +22 to High
The following chose the following. Here is how they scored
Camembert - Picked Scots +25 0 points
Guppy- Picked High +10 3 points (win but below the margin)
Muppet- Picked High +26 5 points (win and within +5 of the margin)
Fluke- Picked High +22 10 points (win with the exact margin)
These margins come in handy as you can run down leaders or make a break. Plus is you fail to get your tips in you are given by default the away teams with no margin.
Tips are taken by PUBLISHING them here with a post. I will endeavor to have them added by 3:15pm on Saturday.
NO TIPS are accepted after this time.
You may wish to message me as well.
TIPPING comp entries close if limit is reached or FRIDAY 16 May @5pm .

Hamilton has been in all the shore GPS teams and has played well in all teams especially when coming off the bench in the 1st’s has really stepped upShore outmuscled at scrum time. Think it’s time to start looking at Hamilton for a call up
Yes. Maybe we talk about this elsewhere. May I suggest. Is it really that simple?
A try on HT and FT made the score line favour Baker - look the better team won but was closer than the score board.Shore outmuscled at scrum time. Think it’s time to start looking at Hamilton for a call up
Even last season the kicking game of Bassingthwaite and Callaghan was easily the best. Shore definitely missing them.Equally kickers need to kick the ball out when going for touch.
And both had a decent number stick around for the Tahs.. who looked OK till the rain set in.Great to see both schools have a decent crowd on show
Slow start, yes. Different team also yes. However there is improvement each week and I see hope. As I’ve mentioned a lot, getting Callaghan and Bassingthwaite back will be the piece in the puzzle they are needing. However the front row does need some serious work. And both had a decent number stick around for the Tahs.. who looked OK till the rain set in.
So last years GPS Champs have lost to Cranbrook, Knox and Barker in subsequent weeks. A slow start like last year or just a different team?
Knox and Barker are good but Cranbrook…. Strange one to lose to them and I can’t see it just being a blip with the way View handled and dismissed (36/0 & 64/0) them in 1sts and 2nds at Cranbrook. And both had a decent number stick around for the Tahs.. who looked OK till the rain set in.

Cranbrook have thrown the kitchen sink at it this year.. despite the huge loss to view..Knox and Barker are good but Cranbrook…. Strange one to lose to them and I can’t see it just being a blip with the way View handled and dismissed (36/0 & 64/0) them in 1sts and 2nds at Cranbrook.
Might be missing some key guys but Shore are conceding points.
Moa999, correction, I don't believe Shore have played Cranbrook, happy to be corrected but the other CAS school that Shore have lost to is the Waves 40-7 a few weeks ago. That would be the 3 CAS schools they have played so far this year. And both had a decent number stick around for the Tahs.. who looked OK till the rain set in.
