Blues defence is looking much impactful and the cleanout is better but not at the required consistent level, especially against a team like the Brumbies who seem to be full of breakdown pests.

They deserved to win too! The last years Premiers looked pretty ordinary. And….. haven’t won a game yet this year!

Breakdown inaccuracies and depth really hurt the Blues in the second half.

That and Finlay fucking Christie.

EDIT: Not sure pulling Suafoa was a good idea either. Segner still looks undersized.

EDIT II: And Beauden's seven points of missed kicks  I swear that if anyone went through his goal kicking career you'd find a clear and obvious pattern of 'bro is absolutely cooked for the match after one bad kick at goal'. Doesn't seem to have any ability to recover from a bad strike. Needed someone else to be taking the shots after his penalty missed by a mere two postcodes.

Thats unbelievable. Brums pack won them the game hands down. Front row plus Hooper and Scott immense and Reimer great off the bench. Cale CATCHING THE FUCKING KICKOFF at the end and busy otherwise also good.

Outside that both 9s were good, particularly with their contestables, and as mentioned Meredith kicked very well out of hand. Ikitau had the worst game of his life and they still win it (in a game where their big dogs needed to fire). 2/4 now looks fkn good.

Huge result.

I feel like there was a lot of confidence that had been lost in the side based on the results so far but most would have been happy with 2 from the first 4.

If we didnt lose that Force game everyone would be swinging from the brums

I had a yarn with Blake Schoupp during one of the fans on the field sessions last year, nice fella and enjoyed that there were fans out there that appreciate a good scrum. Really happy to see him play well after last year's injuries
