I suspect that pretty much kills the comp outcome but still well worth pursuing next year and beyond, and still good to get a few games in this year.

Oki doki, we have family ties to View and I was told otherwise but more than happy to be corrected, further supports my comment.

OSR, I think you will find that all the CAS schools use a level of recruitment, except Aloys, and same for the GPS, maybe not View. However recruitment alone doesn’t guarantee winning, the Rugby DNA of some schools is just stronger, best example Joeys. I applaud the ISA schools for their...

DaS, I guess that boils down as whether you want a well rounded child, and that doesn’t mean by just playing rugby, or just an academic child. Room for both imo, however, social skills and team work are a major requirement in life, not sure academia alone delivers that, imo. Yes it is possible...

M, my opinion is that at age 13+ most boys have already been playing for quite a few years, like since 7. So to suddenly ask to play “friendlies” like my most favourite sport , soccer, “ the beautiful game” pleeeeease stop this BS, it’s way too much. Either aim up or give up and play the...

To be honest M, I understand why you say that but I still think the Knox and Barker juniors should play all the ISA schools. TBH, the scores reported for the Waves junior teams v all the CAS schools and Pats last weekend were understated , sometimes by a lot, ie counting stopped at 50...

    ISA 2025

So here is the update for the Waves V Auggies games this weekend, (at this stage). All Opens games are now on Saturday with the 1sts at 1.45pm, the 5ths kick it off on Sydney Academy of Sport field 1 at 8.30am. Only the 16as and Bs are playing are playing on field 3 at 12.30 and 11.30...

Agree AS, This weekend should tell a lot. Let's hope the weather is better than the forecast (which is often wrong). Having watched the Waves 13,14,15as on Sat v Pats for the 1st time, 2 things were most noticeable. 1. The Pats teams all look well drilled and had a number of very good players...

Pats were terrific! Never gave up. Waves have been a big disappointment this year, too much flashy BS, getting ahead, then getting lazy. The penalty count surpassed the combined scores, please just relax and let school boy footy roll, barring obvious errors. Waves did have quite a few out but...

DaS, Weather permitting I plan to watch the 13as,14as,15as, having not watched these teams so far this year, and the Opens following on. I will drop the scores in here, if I remember ;) .

    ISA 2025

It appears that I should have also included Knox, in addition, in my spray of disappointment. It almost destroys the cross association plan to decide which schools have the strongest program. Good on all the ISA schools to sticking to the original plan, unless they were forced to change eg...
