    Wallabies 2025

On balance, I think open selection makes sense in the current rugby climate. The issue with players going overseas isn't going to disappear, so we might as well pick our best 23 from wherever they play. I don't mind Wallaby coaches saying that they'll prioritise OZ based players though. When we...

Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test, Accor Stadium, Saturday 2 August

It's really turned out to be a commercial bonanza for RA. Hopefully we use it as a launching pad for bigger and better things.

Of course we should pick him, he's a Perth boy!

Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test, Accor Stadium, Saturday 2 August

This Wallaby team is a quantum leap better than when Joe took over and the improvement in physicality and mongrel even since the first half of the first test is noteworthy. If this group can stay together and play as hard for each other as they clearly are currently then I think MUCH better days...

We have grown considerably as a team in the last 12 months, agreed.

    Wallabies 2025

I'm really keen to see how Lonergan goes at test level. I think he could potentially be excellent.

God I hope the boys have stored up the hurt of losing at the death last week and tear the Lions a new one. With Bobby probably out I would imagine we start Langi and tell him to go nuts for as long as his motor will carry him and then probably bring on Hooper. I would also love to see LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) also...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

So we've had a pretty decent increase in viewership for the Wallabies from this series. That's good news isn't it? Added to the fact that the media can run the WE WUZ ROBBED line all week, it's going to put eyeballs on the last test.

Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

I like our chances tonight. The big thing we needed to fix from last week, bending the line, will be helped enormously by the inclusions in the pack. If we can get some go forward and the defence on their heels (or drawing them offside and the ref actually calls it) the backs should have enough...

Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

I like our team, there is a decided uplift in grunt with Gleeson, Skelton and Valetini included. It's clear we're going to try and take them on up front and so we should. With some front foot ball I would the backs should be able to create enough chances.

First Nations & Pasifika XV vs the Lions - Tue, Jul 22 @ 8:00 PM, Melbourne

Is it completely out of the question that Joe gives LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) a call up? He's been outstanding in two tour games now.

    5th Place Play-Off U20s World Cup - Aust v England - Sunday, 20 July @ Stadio Mario Battaglini, Rovigo, 2 AM AEST

My only worry with Sid at the moment is his slight build. He looks tiny! Bloody hell he's got some skill and pace though. One of the absolutely outstanding players in all of the U20's games I've seen this year.

Pietsch also went very well in the tour game. I reckon he'd take the fight up to the Lions, he's that kind of player.

Bobby V and Gleeson should give us a reasonable amount of punch from a ball running POV and I like starting with Skelton and Hooper on the bench. It gives us options depending on the state of the game.

Wallabies v Lions, 19 July Suncorp

The UK press reaction has been balanced and reasonable as per usual. They are the original purveyors of rage bait.
