    Wallabies 2025

Same in 2005, many of the players disliked him, his name among most of the players was 'Wang Eye', so I heard.

First things first GHost... In internationals, it is defence that wins matches mostly. Under McQueen one of the first things he did was to bring in Mulligan? from league. to fix up the guys defence. So defence is very important, and at the moment we have an old fashioned defensive system and...

I kind of agree about Tom not making a 12 due to his D, but I thought if he was closer to the action, his D might improve. His D and positional play at 15 is very poor, but a great counter attacker. I am sure we can make a better 15 out of Jorgenson or JAS, although we disagree about his D. It...

I wonder if Tom Wright could make a 12?

I agree about his hits, Ghost, but it is the stick and leg drive which I think is missing.

    Wallabies 2025

21 games for the Wallabies is about 1.5 full seasons and not a rookie effort. I don't see any reason to excuse his D. Most league players rate their tackling as better than union (not sure about that). We cannot build a 12 unless we look for one and I'm not sure we are looking for one. It is...

I cannot imagine what Schmidt sees in him. He was great in his day, but that has long since flown. The complexity South Africa is bringing to their D is light years away from where we are.

I expect Carter to take the starting 10 jersey before the end of this tour and maybe earlier on than many expect. I am more concerned about JAS, not so much his running game, but he's been in the system for a while and his D doesn't seem to be improving. We all know that 13 is a very difficult...

Success has a thousand fathers, and failure is an orphan. An old cliche, but continuously relevant.

Let's add in that it was the worst game we played in the RC.

I hope we get smarter about when to take a kick at goal and when to go for touch. This is International rugby and small margins mean a lot. The Spring Tour will be interesting to see if Schmidt makes some fine adjustments to the boys.

Agree, but it is a part of the expected skill set at 10 and I wonder if the coaches have others with a skill set to be practising it? We have missed a few clutch kicks over the last few years, and most of us shrug and say it happens. Who can forget the long range kicks by Reece Hodge to win...

Our RWC stocks are rising with Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) and now Carter Gordon. As an oddity, a mate of mine was watching Edmed play and reckoned he'd make a better centre than 10.

I never understand why it has to be the 10 who takes the kicks. Whoever is the best kicker in the team should get the job. It takes a lot of focus and time to get it right, so who cares who kicks? We don't kick for goal much these days - maybe a talented part timer may do?

    2025 Bledisloe Cup Series

Having read this, I get it, NZ won two in a counter ruck right over the top of us, they also won a fair bit of ball on their own and McRight won 2 against them. We lost 40% of all our possessions and of that 9 or 21% were at the breakdown. Still I guess by your yardstick this is so 'old...
