Hey Coach - from my understanding, 3 total got selected from Downlands. One of the second-rowers made it; I am unsure of their ages though.

Jup add value to all age groups - Surely will field way more on any given Saturday than some of rhe current offering

And thats Rugby’s problem in Aus. There should be a 4 tiered comp with promotion/relegation options as well as room for expansion. How is rugby meant to grow if its always just exclusive to a few schools governed by schools and not rugby bodies! Blows your mind!

Surely in the interest of Rugby we need to add strength to this competition! Options like Kings College or Downlands will do a lot for this comp

Fair- ebbs and flows of teenage school footy! If you dont have Nudgee’s depth your ebb cycles will be deeper - especially for smaller schools

Question - Lauries is having a very poor Showing in this year’s comp compared to its recent past. 1. Is this due to Welmar leaving 2. Do they just not have the cattle this year in comparison to what they had a few years ago?

Sorry just want to clarify if my posts were removed discussing BGS result ?

I hear you! But the point was made earlier so was simply trying to provide a counter to rating school team strength by using state team results

Futhermore GPS forum states that both BGS and TSS were not at full strength when beaten by Downlands earlier in the season. I happen to come across this little gem and know for a fact # 24 and 25 played most of the game. Granted - this was a trial, but Downlands was also not full strength...

AIC forum poster “At the u18 QLD state champs in Townsville last week Downlands had 18/19 players in the darling downs team as a 1st XV really. and met north had 6 from Padua, 5 from Pats, 3 from BGS and the rest from random schools. No Nudgee or Marist boys. Met North won 18-14.” response to...

Came across a few interesting posts regarding Downlands in both AIC and GPS Forums… what is more interesting those members are allowed to refer to Downlands when talking about the form of GPS/AIC teams, and recent results - however when posters inquired about Downlands they are shut down…. Is...

Lets just set the record straight here. That 19 was hardly Downlands 1st XV with a number of players not participating. So in essence the best combination of schools mentioned in post above barely beat a Downlands 1st/2nd combination

How good! A Downlands forum finally! Perhaps the boys from the range can get a little credit here instead of always having to read how lucky they were to win!
