I think this would be a great addition to SIRU. Build it around the existing comp. Holder plays challengers throughout the year. Maybe X number of defenses for holder each year? Teams can voluntarily nominate to challenge for shield?

    Super Rugby Fantasy

FWIW me and a few mates have been running a $$ comp each year. This year we are running Two. $50 winner take all. One league in the old SportsDeck comp which has improved their point scoring. And the other league is in the new Super Rugby official fantasy which has $10,000 first prize - which is...

Am I right in reading that the SIRU response to having 7 First Grade sides is to have a 12 round season starting 3rd of May? If so, I think it’s completely the wrong direction. For most clubs that will be a 4 month pre-season. Most other comps will be already started so good luck finding trial...

To be fair to WAC I think they put close to 100 on us in 2016

If I remember rightly there was a team in 2015 with 5 players in the Brumbies provincial squad who managed to get pumped by 100 points…..

For what it’s worth, it was a great day from my perspective with good quality rugby. But I can guarantee a few of the City players were definitely giving it to the Tahs player. Particularly when the Tahs fluffed the in goal force of the ball and then the following drop out. Having said that, it...

All kudos to the 1st Grade finalists, but I think some kudos needs to go to Griffith, Deni, Reddies and Steamers. In some ways it’s these clubs that form the backbone of the competition. Griffith held together 3 men’s grades all year and a women’s team and have made finals in 3 grades. Only...

However, to be clear - personally I think clubs should be able to pay players. It would at least give us a chance to compete with the other codes locally. I think it’s anachronistic to pretend we are an amateur comp when every other Union I know of makes payments to players. Just embrace the...

What's our thoughts on a fully vaxxed requirement as a Return to Play protocol. I suspect sporting insurers are going to make it a requirement of participation. How many players and ancillary staff do you think we may lose if this is the case?
